Let's Play Radiant Historia #14 - Minecraft

In this episode, we return to Alternate History to see if saving the merchant helped out and allows us to enter the Alma Mine. Thanks for watching!

It did scale in D&D ...
It did scale in D&D 3.5, but it was in a much more simpler way. Change is abusive, but I find the Assaults even more so.

2:20 BttF ...
2:20 BttF Experience scaled with your level in D&D 3rd edition (and 4th?). Change seems pretty abusive when you always get enough turns to wipe out foes before they can act. Aren't we just making it easier for Granorg to get through the mine by removing all the rocks? Heh.

HAHA HCBAILEY IS ...
HAHA HCBAILEY IS AWESOME

Army of Darkness ...
Army of Darkness reference 3:02?

Lost Odyssey scaled ...
Lost Odyssey scaled experience too... we the viewers really need to find a way to donate a 360 to HC.

Watching this late, ...
Watching this late, I was gonna say Pokemon Black/White but it was already mentioned.

I still find it ...
I still find it annoying that these pokemon with only a single evolve form needs to be level 50 to evolve. That's ridiculous. Only pokemon with two evolve forms should take that high of a level to evolve. Vulaby evolves at level 54? I almost shat myself when I first saw that. That's way too high for something that should evolve at level 32. Not only that, but a whole list of pokemon evolve at extreme levels. The higher evolving levels definitely obsoletes the level scaling.
CastlePokemetroid

well that's not ...
well that's not all that bad, as once you have access to the dark grass outside the north east town you can get a pokemon from 1-40 in about 5 minutes.
HazreihelUchiha

It makes life soooo ...
It makes life soooo much easier, I'll tell you this much. However, Gamefreak compensated for that by increasing the levels you need to evolve the newer pokemon. Instead of the majority of the pokemon getting their final forms in the 30 range, it's now around in the 50 range, which is really annoying, since it already obsoletes the exp scaling. The only real difference the scaling makes is that the older pokemon are easier to level.

That sword ain't ...
That sword ain't crap. When I first got it, I had absolutely no use for it. Besides, the Aistel sword is standard stuff for Aisetl soldiers.
CastlePokemetroid

Stocke's mind gets ...
Stocke's mind gets transferred between timelines, not his body. In short, only his experiences time travel, not necessarily himself. It is not possible for him to be in two places at once, because he only has one mind and one body. Not only that, but Ranie and Marco don't time travel. Only Stocke does. There's no way they can be in two places at once as well.
CastlePokemetroid

Ah, I didn't get a ...
Ah, I didn't get a chance to play a 4th gen as I did 3rd gen, so I was really glad they changed it for 5th. :D
HazreihelUchiha

No, the exp scaling ...
No, the exp scaling is new to black and white. It damn time they did it, to be honest.
CastlePokemetroid

pokemon, has done ...
pokemon, has done this exp scaling in black and white, and I think they had it in diamond pearl as well.
HazreihelUchiha

as axemranger said ...
as axemranger said a lvl 8 character can shoot straight to 50 in few high (60+/-) lvl battles if there is ever a need to
MsMMMMMM12

The Suikoden series ...
The Suikoden series has experience scaling as well.
axemranger

11:08 The .hack ...
11:08 The .hack series does this. I remember Persona 3 and 4 also did exp scaling.

I was really ...
I was really expecting you to say, "Have a good day viewers....IF YOU CAN! MUAHAHAHA"

HCBaily, I must say ...
HCBaily, I must say thank you and damn you for introducing me to one of the best games I've ever played. Thank you because this game is awesome, damn you because I don't want to think of the hours I've spent on the game, and will probably continue to do so.
pkshd

what you're ...
what you're describing in experience is also done in the .hack series video games. it takes 1000 exp to level no matter what level you are at. Experience isn't divided and it's done per character.

Haha, Army of ...
Haha, Army of Darkness reference!

Look closely at 10: ...
Look closely at 10:33 and pause. Above the EXP bar and to the right, it shows the number of experience points each party member will receive, and then it counts down to zero as it fills the bars. Here, Stocke and Raynie both got 116 XP each and Rosch got 243 XP. That's more than double.
PianoManT

is the experience ...
is the experience scaling the same as suikoden ?

I actually guessed that was gonna happen
