I love the iMac G4 ...
I love the iMac G4 design. I have one that I modified to run silent with SSD, large low rev fan, scrap the DVD, optical USB audio, to run Spotify. Wonderful while the Spotify client continues to work on PowerPC.

I found great use ...
I found great use of my 20" G4 as a Spotify jukebox. The trick is getting rid of the 3.5 hard drive and DVD that block air flow, use an SSD drive and big silent fan inside. That makes for a very silent machine for music. That swivel LCD display is soo elegant.

Very true - it was ...
Very true - it was a completely unique yet ergonomic design. I believe that it was quite an expensive design to produce too, circular logic board and the LCD 'arm' in particular, so it isn't surprising that they went the 'big iPod' design route when they got around the issues with the vertical optical drive and making it thin enough, particularly as the screens got bigger and heavier.
