Perhaps genocide, like in Algeria, would be a better tactic to employ, no? @Draksen Hi, nice to see a passionate French patriot. Yes, I agree with you that France has a long proud history of not only military but also literature, science and technology. Russian and French literature have the greatest influence on world from the West to East. France has been the center of European civilization for centuries. My understanding is that France did loose some prestige in the last half century mainly due to the ineffective defense and defeat by Nazi Germany in 6 weeks.

Funny how the anglo-saxon "joke" is always turning aroung the same thing: surrendering, lack of courage. Do our British and American friend missed the part where France's military history is one of the longest and most pretigious of the world? Since 1494 France has fought in 68 wars and won 48. Since the same date, France won 85% of its battles. So jokes about Germans walking in Paris, what about making jokes about the French army walking in almost all European capitals between 1800 and 1815?
