I understand that ...
I understand that the aerodynamics are great, and the engine is great in the Aventador, but the overall Star Wars type of styling and the paddled gearbox just ruin the experience for me. I'd be much happier to see that great engine in a speed boat, and I'd pay $300K for such boat, no issues. But the Aventador, I'd simply never buy. I love the following cars: Countach 5000 S, original 1991 Diablo, Ferrari 288 GTO, Testarossa, 348, 355, Porsche 911 3.2, 930, but I just don't like the Aventador.

I'm a huge Diablo fan and this thing is creeping up there to take over as my favorite Lamborghini of them all.

I dislike the ...
I dislike the Aventador as a car. I am sure it has a nice engine and all, but this engine would be more at home in a sexy speed boat, I'd take that, but not in this ugly car body with play station style interior... The Countach had a grace, and almost vulnerability up in front, it was sort of like a beautiful woman. The Aventador looks like a military male pilot, so I don't find this car even remotely attractive personally :) Maybe women would like it more though, not sure

I agree that Lamborghinis became noticeably more bland after the Diablo. So do you dislike the Aventador as a Lambo, or as a car in general? Because the more and more I look at it, the more I see the similarities to an Audi... Personally I like it better than an Audi or Murcielago. I gotta say the Countach looks like a teenage boy's wet dream personified.

The Countach was ...
The Countach was crazy, I agree, but it also had personality, some soft of proportions, and even a bit of grace and beauty up in front, and brutally beautiful rear end :) On the other hand, the Aventador, might be impressive from engineering point of view, but it's same like the new iPad, I just don't love it... As a matter of fact, I don't like any of the Lambos that came after the Diablo. They lost the Italian style. I love Audi R8 though, that car has this something unique and exciting.
