When the Veyron and the SSC Aero raced for every gear the SSC went up it put another car length between it and the Veyron. So no, but the Veyron was made for Luxury and speed while the Aero was made for one purpose to be the fastest production vehicle, SO I give it props that something so heavy kept up. I love Bugatti and I'm facinated by it's background, I have nothing against it but people just favor it so much they don't like the truth :/

I think you will find it was founded by Ettore Bugatti who was italian, which is know owned by VW which is german who also designed and produced the car. The only thing french is bugatti's headquater's.

sorry, didn't the Veyron beat it again in 2010 - I'm not up on my latest word records. In any case I'm glad it's not a total Veyron diss - they broke a lot of new ground and they can't hold the record forever. Give grandaddy his due.

Actually the Veyron is an engineering experiment in top speed - not drag racing. Also, the Veyron is quick around a track. Less than a year ago is had a faster track time than a Gumpert, Koenigsegg, Zonda, Chaterham, etc - since then a few have caught up again. The M3 is 70th on this time list - so I'm not sure your opinion is objective.

Pretty much what that guy said.....you're a moron when it comes to cars. You didn't even take into weight in which the Bugatti weights 4200lbs and the Mclaren 2500lbs. Horsepower is a bunch of bullshit unless you put it on a great platform. Why don't you see Veyrons doing road courses? Oh yes they're heavy pigs that go fast in a straight line. No car on earth can defeat? I can think of around 100 modified lambos, supra, vipers, cobras that would break some rich guys e-peen.
