Sergio Leone had intended to use the three 'dollars' trilogy characters to be those killed in this sequence to symbolize the end of that trilogy. The only way this intro could have possibly been any better than it already is, is if Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef and Elli Wallach had been playing the characters gunned down by Bronson.

@remedialy Well I would like to think that it is really that deep, but IMO it is much simpler. There are 3 horses, the gunman know he will kill all of the guys there, leaving only himself alive with 3 horses, so 2 too many.

I love those westerns were there is practically no dialogue. I don't know it just makes it more realistic to me. I saw the movie Good For Nothing directed by Mike Wallis who did special effects for Lord of the Rings and he does the same thing the protagonist/antihero doesn't really say a word for like the first ten minuets. @remedialy well yes it is brilliant but u forgot ...if we remake those movies one thing for sure ....my dialogue would be ....well we shy one horse hahahahaha...and actor should say ...that means the horses are gonna do double travelling......and remove his gun and shoots the guys .......then he whispers ..i was joking ...remove his hat taps it in his chest :P as if removing the dust and shows not even a sweat came out ...good kill :)
