Classic steel strings guitar sound, beautiful and simple solo by Alex....Neil is just awesome and Geddy is just perfect for the song. My favorite progressive rock band ever.... I had bought this vinyl album for the very first time on a Techniques LP player and made a perfect copy on metal tape by using a Nakamishi Dragon Tape recorder. Love analog....

PERMANENT WAVES (1980) marked the starting point for Rush's full-blown entry into condensed, accessible progressive rock. They abandoned the 20-minute suites and mystical lyrics for catchy progressive song structures, and more human, worldly-related topics. But, Geddy Lee (vocals/bass/synths), Alex Lifeson (guitars) and Neil Peart (drums/lyrics) didn't lose their brilliance in composition, even if most of the track lengths were fit for radio. ENJOY! ;o)

every Rush song is like getting hypnotized. you sing, play a little air guitar/air bass/air drums, move around in odd movements and randomly close your eyes as you silently rock your fucking heart out; and then the thought " Rush possess godlike qualities" pops into your head as you pick another song.
