Classic Game Room - MEDAL OF HONOR: SPECIAL EDITION review
Classic Game Room reviews MEDAL OF HONOR: SPECIAL EDITION for Playstation 3 PS3 from Danger Close, DICE and EA. Is this the Call of Duty Modern Warfare killer it was hyped up to be or is Medal of Honor just another first person shooter? The game takes place in Afghanistan where you play as several U.S. Military soldiers fighting waves of bad guys with a variety of machine guns and sniper rifles. Awesome visuals and sound design aren't quite enough to really make the game stand out though as predictable gameplay and jerky cut-scenes make this a "me-too" effort. CGR loves the helicopter scenes though, MORE HELICOPTER!! This CGR review of Medal of Honor has gameplay from Medal of Honor Special Edition on PS3 showing Medal of Honor video game play in HD action. Medal of Honor Special Edition comes with Medal of Honor Frontline remastered.

I agree with you sir, the world needs more awesome helicopter games where you waste entire maps with rockets and machine guns.

I didn't like ...
I didn't like playing or Battlefield 3 either, and I hated MW3, I traded in Battlefield Bad Company 2 within the week I got it. I enjoyed MW2 with 3 friends on splitscreen mode, and I liked Black Ops for a couple months. If our views on these games are similar, perhaps I will enjoy Medal of Honor as much as you do. What is your opinion on Black Ops, MW2, and Battlefield Bad Company 2?

Its interesting how ...
Its interesting how every reviewer missed the standout feature of the game, realism. People were so conditioned to the bullet storm run around like crazy absorbing bullet shooters, they didn't see the uniqueness of it. I still come back to play this game after playing though mw3 and Battlefield 3 which I haven't been back to after 1 play through. Can't wait for part MH2 this year.

The single player really grabbed me. Rarely has a game made me feel like I was actually taking part in it... especially that daylight section when you're trying to hold off the Taliban waiting for support...

I agree, newer war ...
I agree, newer war related shooters are a bit hard for me to play, just the thematic elements make me not wanna play them. I prefer a classic war game, like the first Call Of Duty/Medal of Honor/Battlefield games. Something that I know for a fact is done and over.
