I saw Bo at the outdoor Gold Rush Festival at Lake Amador fishing resort, CA in 1969, with Santana, Ike & Tina Turner, Cold Blood, Albert Collins, Taj Majal, Stoneground, Sons of Chamlin & others that I can't remember. Rocking into the the wee hours of Friday morning (2AM) the concert was awesome. Bo did Bo Diddley with Tina & Ike. I've seen many of the great guitarists, like Jeff Beck, Peter Green, Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray, Kieth Richards, Jimi & Clapton. Bo is in a league of his own.

Bo was my friend and I will miss him the rest of my life. When I started in RADIO,BO was one of the very first RECORDING STARS I BOOKED for my many RECORD HOPS. But BO made the mistake of selling his songs,he never reaped the rewards he could have with those royalties. And like a lot of early stars always owed the record companies MUCH ADVANCEMENT MONEY. NEVER SAVING OR INVESTING.
