Meh don't really ...
Meh don't really think there is much of a difference in terms of difficulty, you could honestly put up good arguments for both instruments. Being a pianist overall I'd probably say the violin is harder, but not by that much. Heck, it's all in the practice really, not intentionally wantin' to sound arrogant but I could play the violin at a decent level easily in 2 years if I practiced enough

have you heard the ...
have you heard the full version of this piece for violin?
gnatural
and we were not ...
and we were not really comparing the piece but the mastering of the instrument itself. to play the violin at a high level takes far more practice than it does the piano. not to mention the weird position which you have to hold the violin, to sit at a piano is far more natural. intonation is half the battle yet string players have to create their own intonation! it is not there for us. i am also a violinist. and i can say that in 2 years i was able to play the piano decently , but not violin.
