Since the Yuan Dynasty the Tibetian political leaders agreed to join the Chinese Dynasties~ Even in the Qing Dynasty they assured that the Emperor is the "head of state". So, the Emperors allowed the Lamas and all the Nobility to rule as they used to rule. Chinese pppl never stayed for too long since there was no trade market since the Nobilities took what they wantd since it was their "devine right" as the highest of their country.

China and Chinese people always claim Tibet was part of China since the Yuan dynasty, but in fact there were no Chinese living in Tibet before 1950. My family is from Tibet, and every Chinese person I met did not have a relative living in Tibet before 1950. The only interaction was on the border areas in Kham and Amdo known as Gansu, Sichuan and Qinghai provinces.

No religious Monks should behave like Criminals and have violent-minded followers. The Tibetan buddhist teachings are really questionable. What did BUDDHA, the founder of Buddhism taught? What have the Tibetans learnt? I don't think Richard Gere learn much from them.
