I totally agree with you...dig? There is no talent abroad anymore. Lovin' the comment fa sho'. I would have to give an honorable mention to Alicia Keys, India Are, John Legend and Lyfe Jennings as well.

sure no problem, the style was gay ass NU Metal like limp biskit, linkin park, pod and shit like that. Now you got this fucking EMO shit taking over everything and rap artist USING AUTO TUNE to make them sound somewhat in key. WHAT THE FUCK HAPPEN TO MUSIC!!!!????

Back in the day it was about talent - not what you looked like or how much you weighed. A lot of supremely talented classic artists we love wouldnt even get a look-in by the Simon Cowells that dominate the music biz now. Its all about style over substance now and it makes me wonder about how many who wont get it unless they cater to bullshit that in the words of the great Jill Scott that's "got nothing to do with the song". Thank God for her at least; she's the closest to Cheryl out there now.

JILL SCOTT man you listen to what!!! QUALITY!

Agreed...style over substance has created an awkward era for mainstream music today, every decade seemed to have a certain sound or theme, I can't think of one for these past 8 years.

MJB is a very good artist but people get on me a lot for saying she is not that original. Her lyrics are real but most of her songs that have made her popular are remakes an samples. I'm talking back in the 90's now we are finally getting less samples/remakes an more her.

HAH forget MJB i had the piano hook from this track in my head all yesterday wanering where i know it from... a late 80's/early 90's breakbeat/hip hop track "King Bee - Must Bee the music" but it was the remix, the original didnt have the sample... anyway, great party hip hop track !!! i'll have to upload it to you tube sometime
