The Ducati 1098 is a super bike manufactured by the Italian motorcycle company Ducati since 2007. There were three different versions, called the 1098, 1098S, and 1098R.The first two models were replaced by a successor model, the Ducati 1198, that was introduced in 2009. The 1098 shares more design elements with the older 998 than with its predecessor the 999, such as horizontally placed headlights and a non-integrated exhaust system. Another carryover from its 998 heritage is the single-sided swingarm which is decidedly Ducati. This return to more traditional Ducati design has been welcomed by many Ducati fans who criticized the design of the 999. The Ducati 1098/1098 S/1098 R were available in black, red or yellow. The 1098 was designed by young Ducati designer, Giandrea Fabbro. The 1098/1098 S makes a manufacturer claimed 160 hp (119 kW), 90.4 lb·ft (122.6 N·m) torque, and weighs 173 kg (380 lb). The 0-60 mph time is less than 2.5 seconds and top speed is estimated at 186 mph (299 km/h).[1] The 1098 R makes a manufacturer claimed 180 hp (134 kW), 98.8 lb·ft (134 N·m) torque. All these figures give the 1098 the highest torque-to-weight ratio of any production sport bike ever made. With the release of the 1098, Ducati created a stir not only with road riders, but also in the racing world, specifically the Superbike World Championship. Ducati 1098 Burnout
Well a new rear skin is going on in the morning so here goes the last bit of the original OEM one, it lasted 3550 miles before it was sacraficed to the tire gods in this video. **EDIT** This rear tire was garbage before I started this burnout, I do not ruin perfectly good tires doing burnouts on this bike, I have other bikes for that. So stop all the hatin about me wasting a tire, it was getting changed in the morning!!

BMW 1200 GS Blast past Ducati 1098 on Macquarie Pass, NSW, Australia
Awesome video footage of a DUCATI 1098 going up Macquarie Pass, South Coast, NSW. HOWEVER, the best bit is about a third of the way through the clip, from right of screen, comes a BMW 1200 GS who shoots past the Ducati and the cars and continues to blast its way up the mountain pass. The Ducati tried to pass but cannot until an overtaking lane appears, and only then at the end of that long stretch. The BMW then proceeds to stick it up the butt of the Ducati the rest of the way to the top. Later in the clip you will see the Ducati back off and the BMW cruises in from the left of screen and they both pull into the Famous Roberston Pie Shop for a pie and a story swap. The BMW rider is Big Mac (aka Paul McWilliam) and the BMW is fully loaded for the Snowy Ride Nov 08 and had both panniers, top box and a duffle bag all loaded up
