How to upgrade & dismantle Dell Mini 10v 1018
jRin.net shows you how to dismantle and upgrade the latest Dell Mini 10v, the 1018. (use this video to learn how to upgrade the memory). For memory upgrade purposes, note that it is slightly different than the Mini 1012 in that there is no (removable) memory access door under the keyboard to access the memory slot - you need to take off the palm rest to access it! Also, please be sure to know what Dell Mini 10 series netbook you have prior to following this video as there are currently 4 different ones. * Dell Mini 10 (1010) which is easily identifiable as it is the only one that has a HDMI port. This is the only Dell Mini 10 series that cannot have it's memory upgraded. * Dell Mini 10v 1011 -- similar look (body style) to the Mini 10 except that it has a different atom processor (n270, n280) and has VGA instead of HDMI. * Dell Mini 10v 1012 -- has a new hinge design compared to the Mini 1011/1010 and the bottom half is all white, no longer has the huge extended battery that sticks out below the netbook, and has a refresh in specs (atom N450+ processor) * Dell Mini 10v 1018 -- the latest iteration, the one in this video, that is basically the same look as the 1012 but with an all black bottom, a few less ports, upgrade to ddr3 memory, and FINALLY a touchpad with dedicated buttons! Homemade Boiler And Stuart 10V
A boiler i made out of 1/16 inch thick, 2 inch in diameter copper pipe, with a 3/4 in copper flue. The boiler is capable of safely firing at 60 psi, but the tube is not lol. The engine is running a little tight because of valve gland packing , it is almost necessary when firing with steam. The burner is a simple piece of 1.5 in copper pipe with a machined brass handle, and a steel wool wick. The flue makes a very nice draft, you can see flames come out the flue, which is over 10 inches long ( about 3-4 inches on the top was cut off in the video) The engine is probably running at about 5 PSI - For anyone who is concerned about this high pressure boiler, don't be. It is not a toy boiler, like a Wilesco or Jensen. This boiler is fully silver soldered, and it has a high vent Safety Valve that blows at 60 psi The whole build is here - modelsteam.myfreeforum.org

Overall quality of Netflix streaming on this computer was not bad at all. Smooth video in window and in full screen. This little machine only has 1 GB of memory. I plan on doing the upgrade to 2 gigs and it should fly. Even if you leave it just as it is... it's a pretty sweet OSX netbook.

Dell Mini 10V OSX86 MAC OS X
This is my new little "DellMac" netbook. It runs Snow Leopard 10.6.2 very stable. The netbook has a Atom N270 1.6 GHZ processor with 1 GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive. Every runs from what I believe 100% on this baby. Wifi, ethernet, sound, webcam, video. It boots up pretty quickly and runs smoothly. I bought a version of Snow Leopard at Best Buy for $29.99. This is for testing purposes only. This little netbook is so worth the money. It runs like a real mac at a fraction of the price.

Stanley KY Sentry 10V - Attack
Since I am on Spring break this week, I got a ride to Stanley KY to get a video of their Sentry 10V. This siren is in Daviess County, which consists of several Whelen Vortex's, 3 4004's, 2 Sentry 10V2T's, this 10V, and a Model 5. This siren is sounding a 40 second attack tone for the weekly test. I left time on at the start because you can hear some other siren start running. I dont know where it is or what kind of siren it is. Any help would be very appreciated! Enjoy!

Stuart 10V Steam Engine Going Very Slow
My newly arrived Stuart 10V, A little rough on the outside, but as you can see, it was machined very good. I have a small timing issue, or the slide valve doesn't seat right because there was some really thick grease in the steam chest. At worse the timing ports weren't machined great, which is unfortunate if it's true. On higher speeds after 20 PSI or so(went up to 50), the speed doesn't increase. I think the length of the connecting rod that goes into the steam chest, might need to be adjusted, because it's possible for the "D" valve not to cover the ports completely, hence leakage This is the only Stuart 10V i've seen with intake and exhaust on the same side,
