This is a PC board I made so I can charge a 48V seal lead acid battery from any 12VDC source. This design is simple and uses an off-the-shelf audio crossover coil. It charges my battery from a 12V source that gets switched on once the sun goes down. In the morning my batteries are ready to go and it didn't cost me anything. Energy from the sun. However I can use with and 12V source that can provide 2-3 amps of power. There is a special circuit that will stop the SMPS once the battery level low around 11 volts. Next day the sun comes up and charges the 12V battery.

In this video i finally decided to show you how IMPRESSIVE are these A123 cells. During the test, when the starter ran for about 2-3sec, the current reached 230A. The GM volt wanted to use the same A123 brand and chemistry of these cells. I never saw any smaller booster pack than this one that i built.. even though i searched on the www or in any stores.. so i believe that this is probably the most compact and powerfull boostpack in the world... A short video comparing the sound of a 5" exhaust with and without a MBRP muffler (4" downpipe). I love the sound of a straight pipe but unfortunately it gets a little annoying on the freeway. The muffler is a good compromise and I really like the tone. I'm glad I did the straight pipe for a while to see what it's like but now I wouldn't go without a muffler. It allows that nice, deep rumble to pass through and you can still hear the turbo whistle just like a straight pipe. I have the louvers in the muffler facing toward the engine. You can reverse it so it's a little louder. The truck is really loud even with the muffler, much louder than stock. MBRP 5" mufflers are 6" round with steel mesh filling, no fiberglass (4" mufflers have fiberglass).

This is a little 12V generator I made for camping trips and to run radio equipment and other essentials during an emergency. It's gasoline powered and can give me a constant 10A when running the engine just above stall speed, at that rate it takes several hours to chew through a tank of gas, giving me pretty good economy of power.
