On 23rd July Class 14 14029 returned to service after many years out of service the loco was attached to the last train of the day along with D9520 we see duo leaving Peterborough heading back to Wansford.

Sunday 20th May the Nene Valley Railway 2nd day of its 2012 Spring Diesel Gala with 7 locos in action. The visiting locos were Deltic 55019 Royal Highland Fusilier (Courtsey of the Deltic preservation society), 47812 and 31602 (both courtsey of Nemis Rail), 31601 and former NVR based 56312 (both courtsey of BARS) and GBRF 66 66745 still carrying Colas Rail livery which was only visiting for one day as there was another 66 down the previous day. The visiting locos were supported by homefleet 14029 and 31108. Thanks to all evolved in the gala for organising the gala.

The visiting locos were Deltic 55019 Royal Highland Fusilier (Courtsey of the Deltic preservation society), 47812 and 31602 (both courtsey of Nemis Rail), 31601 and former NVR based 56312 (both courtsey of BARS) and GBRF 66 66746 which was only visiting for one day would be replaced by another the next day. Class 14029 and Polish Tank 5485 (standing in for 73050) were in charge of the today Santa Specials with 3 round trips to Peterborough. We see the Santa at variety of places between Castor Bank and High Dyke.

Making the most of the beautiful sunshine and catching the last of the autumn heatwave, I decided to join Ian aka NapierNimbus & Hayden aka HomeMoviePerson, picking up another Chris en route, to visit the last day of the Nene Valley Diesel Gala. Resident locos 14029 and 31109 were in action along with a host of visiting locos, many from Barrow Hill, comprising 08622, 20107, 37503, 45060 "Sherwood Forester", 56303, 33201 and 31190.
