Two corrupt OCP employees are murdering homeless people in order to find a brain suitable for their latest project: MetroNet, a city wide network controlling power and communications. Conspiring with RoboCop's arch nemesis Ray "Pudface" Morgan, a criminal scarred in a toxic accident during a previous skirmish with the cyborg police officer, they put Robo out of commission. In cryofreeze and without approval from OCP for necessary repairs, the three are free to do as they please... On the heels of RoboCop 3, Canada's Skyvision acquired the rights to a RoboCop television series. The creators and writers of the original RoboCop film, Michael Miner and Ed Nuemeier, had the rights of first refusal in their contract, allowing them the opportunity to script the pilot for the proposed RoboCop series. Utilizing their rough script for RoboCop 2 (subtitled Corporate Wars and which never made it past its initial draft before Orion recruited Frank Miller to pen the sequel) they incorporated several aspects of the story, most notably the inclusion of NeuroBrain and her ghostly projected form. This episode's main baddies (Pudface, Mallardo, and Chayken) all return at least twice in the series.
