Took three 2Liter Bottles and taped them together to make one big Dry Ice Bomb. All three went off at the same time which is very rare because they are very unpredictable. I got lucky because the one on the left was way bigger but it leaked somewhere and allowed the other two to catch up.The three of them got so big that the tape holding them together tore. The video shows normal speed, then half speed, then double half speed, then finally triple half speed. This one sounded like thunder! This is my 2 liter ebb and flow or flood and drain hydroponics setup. Total parts cost maybe $60-80. I used an old entertainment center that I was about to toss. I cut holes in the shelf to recieve the tops of each of the 2 liter bottles, cut the bottoms off the bottles and inverted them. The fittings I first tried to JB Weld nylon hose barbs into holes drilled in the caps and they almost all failed. My revision was to instead use some cheap corks, drill holes in them and gorrilla glue some PEX tubing pieces into them, then wrap some plumbers/thread tape around the other end of each PEX piece, insert that into the tubing and then double wrap it with zip ties. This ends up being water tight and no leaks. The timer turns the air pump on for 15 min. every six hours and the air pushes the nutrient water down and up the tube into the distribution manifold to each grow chamber. That little green valve in the air line by the pump allows me to adjust how fast the air is released from the nutrient water chamber and thus how fast the grow chambers drain out via gravity. The air valve of course can't be wide open otherwise the tiny little air pump can't build the pressure needed to lift the water. If the release valve is all the way closed, the flood happens faster, but it takes too long to drain out and the water just sits in the grow chambers. The grow media is just pea gravel inside a foodsaver bag cut from a roll with pin holes poked into it with a sewing machine. The bag then <b>...</b>

Tools Drill with 2 bits. About 3/16" and 1/8" Razor Materials 2 liter soda bottle with the cap and label peeled off Sheet of black and white newspaper Old white t-shirt cut into three strands that are about 15" and a knot tied about 2" from the bottom. You could also use cotton string Instructions On How To Make Using 2 Liter Soda Bottle Use your 3/16" drill bit to drill a hole in the center of the bottle cap. Use your 1/8" drill bit to drill 6-8 holes around the larger hole. Feed the cotton shirt/string through the larger hole in the bottle cap. The knot should rest on the inside of the cap with the longer part coming out of the top of the cap. Use your razor (and scissors if necessary) to cut the soda bottle. You'll want to cut it a little less than half way from the top. Take the sheet of newspaper and line the inside top half of the soda bottle. This is protect the soil and roots from the sun. Using your finger poke a hole through the newspaper around the cap. This will serve as the entry way for the wick. Feed the wick through the hole and twist on the cap of the soda bottle. While holding the three strands of the wick, begin to add your soil. After about 2-3 inches have been laid down, coil up a wick around the soil and cover up with another 2-3 inches. Repeat until the soda bottle is filled. This will help to evenly distribute the moisture. Cut off the excess newspaper. Put the planting half into the lower half and pour water onto the soil. Two stage water/hydrogen/oxygen rocket with electronic ignition. Hydrogen and oxygen gas is generated by passing electricity through water containing Baking Soda to make the water conductive. Stainless steel strainers are used as electrodes. The explosive gas is collected with a funnel into a 2 liter soda bottle using water displacement. Air is mixed with the gas to reduce its explosive property. An Estes rocket igniter is used to explode the gas, forcing water out of the bottle propelling the rocket. An electronic sequencing circuit powered by a 9 volt battery ignites the lower stage, then the upper stage one second later. The construction details will be available in an upcoming issue of Make Magazine. Suggested Improvements; I used 1/3 HHO (hydrogen/oxygen) 1/3 air and 1/3 water. I believe the bottle can withstand more pressure so I suggest trying 50 % HHO, 30% air and 20% water. The first stage only reached about 10 feet before the second stage fired one second later, so I would try a 3 or 4 second delay.

Things you need: 1. 2 Liter Bottle and Cap 2. Barb 3. Knife 4. Pitcher 5. Water 6. HERB 7. Lighter Number 2 is referring to the piece I am using in replace of foil, because foil isn't the safest thing to be smoking out of. I went to Lowes and searched by the PVC or piping section and found a Hose Barb, and this works great because it is a nice fit and has a big enough bowl for the herb. The one in the video is size 1/4" X 3/8" and works great. It was less than 3 bucks. You can also use a socket, size 3/16" and this works fine too. It is not needed, but if you''d like you can use a screen so no herb falls through to the water. Screens are usually 5 for a buck so it might be a good investment. Go now and make your own amazing Gravity Bong, and get RIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPED.
