This is an in car view from a shakedown weekend trying to dial in my car. The car is a 1983 Mustang GT with a 351W and 5 speed. This pass I ran a 13.3 @ 108mph with a 2.39 60 foot time. I know that there is a lot more left in the car, Im hoping for some low 12 second passes next time I go. I need to install a line lock and some good upper and lower contorl arms to eliminate my terrible wheel hop and be able to put a lot more heat in my M/T Drag Radials.

This is showing the removal of the front timing cover on a 94 Ford Bronco 351w. This repair applys to all 302's, and all 351w engines. Originally we had a leaking water pump, but ended up having to replace the front timing cover due to the front water pump bolts rusting in the block and breaking off inside the timing cover. 1990 Ford van 351W Custom Intake Acceleration

My video showing highlights of the first test drive of my 1990 Ford Econoline van with a 351W V8 using a custom cold air intake system I fabricated using materials from Lowes. I used steel sheet metal, rivets, PVC and rubber plumbing parts, Spectre Performance flexible intake tube, twin K&N cone filters and aluminum backed foam and cotton insulation. My goal is to hopefully gain a slight performance increase for improved efficiency towards gas mileage by having an intake system that draws cool air from directly outside instead of the hot engine bay air. Insulating the system will hopefully keep the incoming air to the engine cool to provide more oxygen dense air for improved performance as well as slightly cooling the engine through the intake manifold. Even a slight improvement in gas mileage is better than nothing. The first section of the video lets you hear the engine at regular operating speeds in traffic and then acceleration onto a highway flooring it. Floored duration speeds were about 35 up to 70 mph. The intake sound didn't really change much but the system is enclosed so the sound is probably dampened but there is a rushing air sound most likely coming from the small filter for the smog/AIR pump. It's hard to feel any power gains from the intake in a vehicle this big and also considering I haven't driven it in 2 or 3 months but it does feel strong.
