Hi all. This video should really be in two parts. First off I'll be looking at whether or not there is a trade off in brightness with 3D screens. After that I'll be answering a viewers query and showing you how you can install the "Amazing Sense" skin that you see here on my phone. This is directly in answer to a query from"Ghostsnoopy3." You can find the link to the XDA page where you can download the "Amazing Sense" skin at the bottom of this text. In the first part of the video I hope viewers can help me out with something - in my unboxing vid of the HTC EVO 3D the first thing I noticed was that the screen seemed a little dimmer to me than on my HTC Sensation. This is a bit of a worry as the 2 phones have exactly the same display screen specs. Of course I was thinking that it could be just my imagination - or that it could be due to the 3D technology. However I haven't been able to find anything that confirms that 3D screens are dimmer. So take a look and see if you can notice the difference in displays - let me know if you think this is an issue - and if you do know anything regarding discrepancies with 3D screens of this type I'd be grateful if you could let me know. This is the work of Jan Szkandera. Currently, he uses a device "Nest of Birds" to get a relatively accurate position of viewer (or camera). The scene is then rendered correctly as if viewed from the estimated position. Next, the current concept will be tested with a stereo projector to get a true 3D impression. This work has been done at the Department of Computer Graphics and Multimedia, Faculty of Information Technology, Brno University of Technology.

The unnamed prototype device combines glassless 3D display with a physical feedback system that pushes on a magnetic pen. You hold the stylus pen near the display screen and when virtual objects want to reach out and touch you, you can feel it through forces on the pen. In this demo its a chameleon lashing its tongue out towards the pen causing a vibration. In my case its nearly caused the pen to fly out of my hand. NTT DoCoMo may want to combine their magnetic approach with other haptics. Vibrations for mild touches, solenoids and inductive coils for hard pushes, and heat/cold for those sensations. I'm not the biggest fan of 3D I think the viewing angles are too specific but I couldn't help but share this as the demo was one of the funnest of MWC 2011.

It uses laser-etched holograms, which is pretty cool. They are using the display to showcase Intel's latest processors: the Intel Core i7, Intel Centrino 2, and the Intel Atom.

Sorry for the quality and shaky recording. Just wanted to share this thought after the sony presser. Today Sony announced a new 24 inch 3d tv at $499. They also said that people can play split-screen games full screen. The crowd applauded. I love Sony and their products. Heck I have a 40'' active 3d bravia downstairs next to my stack of ps3 games, but this is already available and you don't need $200 glasses. I picked up My passive 3d Vizio at costco for $700. Any questions? I'm not sure why people think I'm bashing Sony. I think they're great and thanks to them, in the future I wont have to play on half-assed resolution because of them.
