I called a BMW dealer in Monrovia, CA and asked for a key for my BMW 325i. They charging me $260.00 for a Key. I didn't get that deal because it's too expensive. So I searched the net and found some great deal that costs about $120 -BUT STILL EXPENSIVE. Then I decided to try something different. I done this thing by myself and it just costs me less than $10.00 because I already have some of the materials on my tool box. The only thing that I did buy is the battery which is the Duracell 2025 Lithium Coin Cell Battery - 3V. It's also available in other brands like Energizer. This isn't rechargeable battery but who cares? If it drains out then change it. That's why in this video I didn't seal it permanently. How to remove a tie rod assembly. A very simple job. Takes about 15 minutes to do. Every car is different in this one I did not need the joint forks to remove the outer tie rod like i did in some other heavier cars. You can eye the alignment and make a few test runs you can make adjustments with the car on the ground. I still suggest taking it to your local tire dealer and getting it computer aligned. I eyed it because there are still several parts I need to change before i can get an accurate alignment. Drives nearly perfect. I suggest getting the Moog brand assembly. Higher quality parts last longer. This part is fairly reasonable in price. You can buy the part at www.rockauto.com or at your local parts store. In this case you save about 10 bucks with rock auto. I did not buy it there because I did not want to wait a week for the part to ship. Normally I would just wait, but My steering was clunking and this is my daily driver. Here's how to reset the BMW 2006+ 3-Series E90 Service Lights. Place a key in the ignition switch and press the start button. Wait until all check lights and beeping goes out. Put your foot on the brake pedal and hold odometer reset until yellow triangle comes up. As soon as that happens; release it (odometer reset button) and use scroll on left side of steering wheel to find an icon that you want to reset service light for. Press the top button (BC button) on left control handle and reset light will come on. Press again and hold it for few seconds. That should do it. You can keep scrolling until you reset all that needs to be done. Once you are done take a keyfob out and you are ready to go!
