2009 02 22 09 44978 SUSPECT SURVEILLANCE VIDEO
On Friday, February 20, 2009 at approximately 8:45 pm, York Regional Police and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to XSITE Cell Phones located in the Pacific Mall at 4300 Steeles Avenue East in the Town of Markham for a weapons call. Officers located a male victim on the floor of XSITE with signs of gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Chun Kit CHEONG (Daniel) 26, of Toronto. After the incident a suspect was last seen running northwest through the mall. The suspect is described as: · Male, brown or black skin colour, approximately 6-feet-tall, thin build and some facial hair · He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and the hood was up at the time of the incident and dark-coloured pants · He was armed with a handgun
