Ray Stevens: The Streak Original 45 RPM Record

This is a video of a 45 I have of Ray Stevens' The Streak. I think this is the original publication, but I'm not sure. Either way, it was made by Barnaby Records and distributed by Janus Records. This record is from '74. The B-Side does not match what Wikipedia says it should be--It's You've Got the Music Inside and Wikipedia says it should be Smith and Jones--but I think it still could be an original since it's from '74. (UPDATE: For those who haven't checked or read the comment I posted on Sept. 29 '11, the page on Wikipedia now lists "You've Got the Music Inside" as the B-side to this record) It is played on my Zenith Console (model # unknown) with a replacement (but still BSR) changer. Please enjoy the video! Also, I had no idea this video would be so popular! Thanks for all of the views!

The Doors - Light My Fire - 45 RPM - ORIGINAL MONO MIX - First Pressing

Original ElektraRecords #45615 45 RPM Vinyl Debut 6/3/67 Peaked at #1 for THREE weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Flip side: "The Crystal Ship" Written by: The Doors Produced by Paul A. Rothchild Engineered by Bruce Botnick Published by Nipper Music (ASCAP) This is the definative HOT MONO MIX, that you cannot get anywhere else, except from the original vinyl 45 RPM record! This is also the SHORT version at 2:52, which was cut short for AM radio air play. The 7 minute version would have never been played on AM radio, so therefore, would never have been a hit. Who knows what would have happened to The Doors had this short version had never been made?! The record that I play is known as the Elektra Girl version, and it is the FIRST pressing of "Light My Fire", and is harder to find. The first record that I show, is still original, but is the more common second pressing. Both pressings are from when the record was released in 1967. iTunes DOES have this short version as a "Digital 45" - LOOK FOR IT! Ok fans of Channel WABCRADIO77, this is a test of a WMG record in response to the below story: From the YouTube blog: Warner Music Comes Back to YouTube Music Licensing: It's complicated. Let's face it. But today all of that is beside the point: we are happy to announce that Warner Music Group (WMG)'s artists are returning home to YouTube. Under this new, multi-year global agreement, you will be able to discover, watch and share Warner music on the site. The partnership covers ...

The Diamonds - Little Darlin' (45 RPM record)

One of the awesomest (is that a word?) songs from the late '50s, played from the original 45 RPM single record. Of course there is no real music video for this song, but I thought I'd put one together. 45 RPM singles of the '50s and '60s were designed to sound the best when played on jukeboxes and AM radio, and this is really just a test to see how one would sound when played through YouTube, which has a similarly limited fidelity.

This was my very first 45RPM single from 1959 - Franie Avalon's "Venus." Lots of folks have heard this evergreen, but now listen and watch it spin on my good old Sears turntable - this is then original issue 45 on Chancellor Records - enjoy a flashback to the 50's!

Johnny Nash Stir It Up 45 rpm vinyl hit version

This is the 45 vinyl single hit version of the song, only released briefly on CD, and not currently available digitally (see notes below). There are at least half a dozen extra elements/tracks in the mix/arrangement, giving it a vastly more enriched and powerful sound... an extra guitar line, several extra percussion instruments, extra harmony singing, extra horn tracks, more drum presence, and a hauntingly beautiful reverb during the last bridge measures. I truly hope they will release this digitally, I've been waiting it seems like forever, and I'll be lining up to buy it! - - - Edit: Aug 25, 2009 - I see that there is now 'matched content' on this, which is great...! It means that it links to purchasable content on iTunes and Amazon. As I said above, I'd *love* to see this re-released digitally, and this promotion here is part of a wish to get that happening. You will notice listening to both though, that this one and the one for purchase are quite a bit different. Only the album version with limited instrumentals is available right now, and I want to give them a gentle nudge and say, "Hey!... Let us buy the hit version too!" Hopefully they will do it sometime soon down the line... By all means, buy the album version also (I have it too, it has lots of other cool songs on it as well!)... but even though the vinyl is pretty nice, I still feel like we're lacking something without the digital single being available too... :-) --- EDIT: Nov 28, 2009 - Just a lil' update ...

Mason Williams - Classical Gas - 45 RPM - ORIGINAL MONO MIX

Original Warner Bros. - Seven Arts Records #7190 45 RPM Vinyl Debut 6/22/68 Pealed at #2 for TWO weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Written by Mason Williams Produced by Mike Post for Amos Prod. Inc. Arranged by Mike Post Published by Irving Music, Inc. (BMI) Mason Williams was also a comedy writer for The Smothers Brothers and Saturday Night Live TV shows. Thanks to my sister Lynn, who purchased this record originally, and then gave it to me! Personal true story about this record: I work for a major electric utility in New Jersey, and the city of Long Branch is in our territory. Long Branch has been on an incredible rebuilding effort for the past 10 years, when it used to be known as one of the top destinations on the Jersey Shore. With all the rebuilding and growth, comes lots of new demand for electricity. A fellow engineer and I had to convince corporate people (not from NJ) that Long Branch was no ordinary town, and that the huge electric load growth we were projecting was indeed real. This called for an "out of the box" presentation to really drive home that what we were asking for was for real and that the budget for new electric infrastructure was very needed to support Long Branch's growth into the future. So we put together a photo montage of scenes from Long Branch's past, present and future - all set to the musical soundtrack of this very record! Using this 45 as the source, I sync'd the PowerPoint to the music. The presentation was such a hit, that we did ...
45rpm - This Is Love (Feat.

45RPM 싱글 [This is love] 곡 리스트 및 설명 1. 2.This is love (Feat.이승환) 작곡:Peejay, Mickey grand 작사:이현배,박재진 이승환과의 콜라보네이션과 45RPM만의 알아듣기 ...
