Alongside the Galaxy S II Skyrocket, AT&T is hitting us with the HTC Vivid, a 4G LTE enabled device slated to hit November 6 for $199.99 with two-year contract. Running on Android with HTC's attractive Sense UI, the Vivid comes packed with a giant 4.5-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of Ram, 8-megapixel camera with f2.2 28mm wide angle lens and 1080p HD video recording at 60 fps and 16GB of on-board memory with a microSD slot expandable to 32GB. On the design front, it won't win any awards, but it can still old it's own. The device is tall, narrow and thick, giving it a substantial heft. Testing the 4G LTE network deployed by Telia in December of 2009. Test was conducted on the 3rd of February, 2010. Network deployment is very small, serving only 4 pockets of coverage around Stockholm city. It works on a 10MHz wide frequency band in the 2600MHz range, delivering up to 50Mbps downlink speeds (Norway uses 20MHz wide frequency, delivering up to 100Mbps). Samsung modem model is GT-B3710. It is fed (via the USB port)5V/550mA. Modem contains a SIM card holder along with 2 inputs for an external antenna (under plastic bottom for the SIM card holder).
