Unfortunately we had to cut some things out of the instruction process to keep the video an acceptable length. UPDATE 2012-04-11: With the lastest patch i get 60+ FPS when i turn of Shadow Quality, Anti-Aliasing and play in 1920x1080 instead of the native resolution (2560x1440). Even when I have everything else on HIGH it plays great. I will release a new video this weekend. This is a video of me playing the Diablo 3 beta on my 27" iMac (Mid 2011). I'm playing in OS X Lion. Blizzard recently released a new patch for the Diablo 3 BETA. The game seems to run quite a bit better on my iMac after the patch. The setting that seems to have the biggest impact on framerate is "Shadow Quality ". I have chosen to turn of shadows completely. I also turned of Anti-Aliasing and lowered the resolution to 1920x1080 (instead of the native resolution 2560x1440). Every other setting is on high. In the patch Blizzard introduced the ability to check your framerate. I have 60+ FPS all the time when I play with these settings. I have only played by myself, so I don't know how a 4-player game would play out. Remember that this is just a beta and the framerate might get worse later on in the game with bigger environments, more enemies and effects. This is played in OS X Lion, and the framerate might get even higher if you play in Windows via Bootcamp. You can see the FPS in the upper left corner. It's hard to tell because of the crappy video quality, but the game looks and runs great! Thanks for watching! If you have any questions, just ask them in the comment section.
