Installed a new handlebar tonight, decided to document the change. Nothing exciting, just showing them off. The bar should put me in a slightly more aggressive riding position, and make cornering a little easier than with the stock bar. The change in dimensions are wider, lower, and more forward than the stock bar. Not to mention the angle is a bit straighter so it feels a little more natural holding on to this bar.

This was how I removed the PAIR valve and associated hardware from my 2007 Honda 919. It's long and detailed and probably boring. But it's something that would have saved me a good 2 hours of work had I had a video to see it done beforehand, so I hope it helps someone out. I also had some info about the flapper mod near the end.

Video 1 of 4. How I removed the stock Y exhaust pipe from my 2007 Honda 919 in order to replace my stock headers and exhaust pipe with those from a CBR900RR. This video is mostly about removing the Y-pipe. I removed the front part of the headers, and then removed the bolts securing the rear shock. Video explains most of it; feel free to ask questions, I'll respond. Check out www.wristtwisters.com as well, especially if you have a Honda 919. Great forum. Great folk over there. Full story: I replaced my stock headers with those from a CBR900RR and put on a Scorpion Carbon Fiber Street Extreme exhaust. The 900RR headers and new can have a lower backpressure (less resistance) in the exhaust, so to be safe, I also have a Power Commander III USB that re-maps the fuel injection so I make sure I don't run too lean (although the 919 is rich from the factory, so I don't think that would have been too much of an issue). The stock pipes are a 4 into 2 into 1 into 2 setup, (the last 1 into 2 is the Y-Pipe). The 900RR headers don't split back into 2, they stay as one and angle out the side of the bike, rather than split into two, under the seat like the 919. Although I like the looks of either setup, I like seeing the area under the tail and around the tail more open, and this mod definitely helped with that. The sound of the Scorpion can is very nice; good deep rumble and no whining when opened up. I also had the 900RR headers coated in ceramic black. Mostly for looks, but you do <b>...</b>

The ride route: tinyurl.com After tanking up at Kyogle, the Distance to Urbenville is 136km - there is a General Store across the road from the bike-friedly Crown Hotel ((02) 6634 1213) and they have unleaded and premium. Otherwise, next fuel stop is Boonah at 236km from Kyogle or Beaudesert at 220km - a distance the 900 Hornet can make without hitting reserve. Of course, if you fill up at Casino instead, take 31km off those distances (thus Boonah is 205km and Beaudesert only 189). Note: We discovered the other week that the Rathdowney Convenience Store has closed down and is for sale. It was still closed up when I went by on this ride. So if stopping there at the park to use the public toilet fascilities, bring your own refreshments and snacks. The rainforest section is lovely. And when you come out you come out suddenly. One moment you're in Thick rainforest, the next, open rural land. Quite surreal. Mt Lindesay twisties are fully repaired after the damage they sustained in January. Potholes fixed. Only a small bit of new bitumen gravel where the land has slid over the road, otherwise, it's better than i've seen it in years.

This is my 2007 Honda 919 (Hornet or CB900F). I just wanted to do a video after I cleaned it and after all the work I put into a 900RR header conversion. This has a list of mods and aftermarket parts that I put on the bike as well. I wanted to do it while it was clean!

What started out as a lovely ride with three friends, turned a little sour once the crash happened. This is a video of that day... An update to The Crash: The woman who I believed caused it all only sustained a fractured arm and chest injuries caused by the seatbelt. The lady in the Green Car (which was only bought by the couple on Friday and they were on their way home with it when it happened) suffered a possible fractured skull, a fractured right arm, and a chest injury caused by the seat belt. The driver of the Green Car sustained back injuries, abdominal injuries, a suspected fractured pelvis and head injuries and was choppered to the Brisbane hospital with the Crash Care Unit in it. No airbags in that car. But as the officer who asked me to come in was not there another officer saw me and the Version became a fullblown Statement. A 90 minute affair after a long work day. I was actually delighted that the bike started right up. After sitting for a week or two, I expected a few more cranks. I keep the battery on a trickle charger. So, it's in good shape, obviously. Mechanically, this thing is tip-top. I've also used nothing but Motul oil when changing. There has never been a problem since I bought this bike new from the Honda dealership in Weston, FL.

Final Fantasy Adventure! Sure there is an enhanced remake on the GBA with better visuals and arranged music but nothing beats the original for me. For its time, it had one of the best stories on the handheld, a very large world with different climates to explore, and cool bosses to battle. Of course, I have to applaud Kenji Itō for composing a stellar soundtrack filled with nostalgic tunes which I still listen to just by themselves. Final Fantasy Adventure was the game that got me interested in action RPGs like it's spiritual sequel Secret of Mana, Soul Blazer and Beyond Oasis to name a few.
