It all happens for a reason. The meeting of a few kinded musical souls in the country called Lithuania. And slowly but surely new sounds and videos fill up hard discs. Time passes and the desire to bring this to a new level becomes clear. Thus the birth in 2009 of Silence the musical family of record label (Silence Music), special events (Silence Nights), and radio show (Silence Radio). The first year was hectic alongside the two albums, three singles and five videos, came the two MTV awards, and a special prize from 'Cosmopolitan' for Jazzu. And of course there were the parties and concerts and not just in Lithuania, but also Latvia, Germany and UK with the ambitious Silence project selling out the Teatro Arena. And now? 'Taste' compilation - a vivid quintessence of that first Silence Year, with Jazzu, Monika Liu, Leon Somov, Mario Basanov, Few Nolder, Adomas and Vidis - a seventy minute harmonious mix of the distinctive Silence musical cuisine of 2009.
