Due to the overwhelming response I have received at You Tube, I have decided this film should be made available to view at home. I was about 25 years old when I shot this footage. A chance in a lifetime to travel to east Africa with a 16mm camera and about 2000' of color negative film. Much of the footage was shot in a VW van while visiting the assorted resort areas in Eastern and Northern Kenya. I also recorded the African music while in Nairobi. The original music performed by the musicians and singers of the Kiringango & Borano Tribes. Coming in October 16th you will be able to purchase a dvd of this film for your collection. She is then told to go back to her husband by her family and the tribe offer her support saying 'the tribe must always stick together'. XamXam's first music video 'Yamma Jatta' by the Gambian Jolla tribe 'Gibunket Asukatian' cultural troupe who are based in the village of 'Marakisse. The video starts with their parting words to us as we headed back to the UK. The rest of the footage show the musicians in the studio, The Gambian outback, live at the Alliance Franco - Gambienne Cultural, the river Gambia.
