APC UPS ES 750
Quick review of my new apc es 750 va (450 watt) ups that is being used with a quad core desktop. Since it has the apc name, I know that it is going to be very reliable and any servicing needed will be simple and easy. I bought this unit for multiple reasons, one being for the extra wattage (from 200 to 450 from my old es 350) and the green feature. The ups offers a lot of power and features, but lacks avr that many of it's rivals have as standard. One thing to consider when buying this ups and others is the type of power they put out when on battery. This ups puts out a modified / jagged sine wave waveform, which is acceptable for most standard desktops and appliances, but certain desktops with pfc power supply units, nightlights and things like rechargable electrical shavers will not work well with the modified sine wave waveform. The unit has great build quality and is quality control checked before it leaves the factory. The design is also another plus with a shinny plastic insert (top of unit) surrounded by a durable black mat finish body. This is my second apc product (the first is 10 years old and counting) and seeing how well the first one has served me, I expect this unit to last at least the same. The only thing I have to worry about is the occasional battery replacement (2-4 years on average) and dusting around the top of the unit every now an then. The MOWAG Piranha is a family of armoured fighting vehicles designed by the Swiss MOWAG, which since April 2010 has changed name to General Dynamics European Land Systems - Mowag GmbH. The MOWAG Piranha is available in 4x4, 6x6, 8x8, and 10x10 wheel versions. There are several variants within these versions, giving different degrees of armour protection and several kinds of turrets, for use in a variety of roles. Piranha derivatives have been assigned roles as troop transports, command vehicles, fire support vehicles, tank trainers, and police vehicles. Four generations of vehicles have been produced, manufactured by MOWAG or under license by other companies, and variants are in service with military forces throughout the world. Please visit funkyjunkycustom.blogspot.com for more information! An Atari Punk Console (commonly shortened to APC) is a simple DIY noisemaker circuit that is relatively inexpensive and easy to build. The original circuit was called "Stepped Tone Generator" which was published in a Radio Shack booklet: "Engineer's Notebook: Integrated Circuit Applications", 1980. After that the circuit featured in the "Engineer's Mini-Notebook - 555 Circuits" by Forrest M. Mims III (Siliconcepts, 1984). The circuit is designed by Forrest M. Mims III. The circuit has a 556 dual timer IC at its heart. The Stepped Tone Generator was named Atari Punk Console (APC) by Kaustic Machines crew because of its square wave output similar to The Atari 2600's. Kaustic Machines also added the -4db line level output to the circuit. The original circuit was intended to drive a small 8 ohm speaker. Atari Punk console is an astable oscillator (square wave) driving a monostable oscillator which creates a single (square) pulse. There are two controls: one for the frequency of the oscillator and one to control the length of the pulse. The controls are usually potentiometers but it can be controlled by light, temperature, pressure, etc. simply by replacing the potentiometers with a suitable sensor (eg, photo resistor for light sensitivity). I certainly understand why some people are upset that the APC ES-350 does not support Power Management software However, I would like to show that even without Power Management support it can be very useful as a battery back-up for your home entertainment system. I love my TiVo TCD652160 HD Digital Video Recorder so much so that I purchased a Western Digital My DVR Expander 1 TB eSATA Desktop External Hard Drive WDG1S10000VN (Black) to supplement the memory. Unfortunately, I live in an area that is prone to power outages and power "flickers". While I can not do much with the power outages the power flickers drive us crazy. Each time the power flickers out Tivo unit must completely reboot (which takes about 10 minutes) so not only do you miss the shows you are watching it also interrupts any recordings that are taking place. While the APC ES-350 does not help me with power outages (the battery back-up is only good for a minute or two) it does save the day when have a flicker. Now please note, I do not have my television hooked up to the back-up, so still see the the TV flicker but now I do not have to wait for the Tivo to reboot. Could I hook my TV to the APC 350... maybe although it would likely draw too much power to be of any use... for that you would want to consider a bigger battery back-up (such as APC BE550R 550VA Back-UPS ES 8-Outlet Battery Backup System but it even it may be too small). Other notes - 6 total outlets - 3 provide battery back-up and 3 offer just <b>...</b>

The БМП-3 (English: BMP-3) is a Soviet tracked amphibious infantry fighting vehicle, successor to the BMP-1 and BMP-2, which entered service with the Soviet army in 1987 and was first observed by the West in 1990. БМП stands for Боевая Машина Пехоты (transliteration: Boyevaya Mashina Pekhoty) literally meaning "Infantry Combat Vehicle").
