I recently purchased this microphone for about $50 off of Amazon. I wanted to compare the sound capabilities of this microphone to the microphone built in to my GL1. The sound contained in the video has not been altered in any way, and is a direct representation of the audio recorded onto the Mini DV cassette. This is a mono microphone, so I used a mono to stereo mini adaptor to record sound on both channels. This mic uses 1 AA battery.
