Holy Crap! Salvatore Accardo Plays Paganini #1 (Cadenza)

I wouldn't post this if it weren't worth listening to again and again. What an awesome display of technical genius and virtuosity! Let me know what you think - I have half a dozen other recordings of this cadenza. By the way, Salvatore Accardo was the first violinist in history to record all 6 Paganini Violin Concertos in 1974. He made quite the buzz back then, according to my dad, but I'm sure nobody's heard of him today. Buy the CD and you won't be disappointed.

Accardo plays Vivaldi Concerto Rv243 (1/2)

I first heard Accardo's playing as a teenager when I was curious about the music of Paganini, I never really liked his recordings of Paganini but much later I stumbled onto his recordings of The Complete Concertos of Max Bruch for violin and really liked them. I have also been a admirer of Vivaldi's 4 Seasons for a really long time and always wanted to hear more of his violin music as I have often described his brilliance as "exploding with genius". Later, I discovered he is on posession of Francescatti's "Hart Strad" and have always admired its golden and sparkling tone. There are many mediochre Vivaldi recordings around but I feel that this is one of the very few worth listening to, and it is out of print, qualifying it for upload. I would like to fully recommend Accardo's recording of the Complete Violin Concertos of Max Bruch, its still in print and well worth the money and as you can hear from this recording, a wonderful sparkling tone and expressive vibrato. I have uploaded rare out of print and unreleased recordings that are difficult to find, I hope you like them. Since they are so difficult to find no one should mind me uploading them, if you have issues with me uploading them please send me a message and I will remove them. Tony (Big Tuna/Joe Batters) Accardo testifies to Congress

Tony Accardo (AKA "Big Tuna or "Joe Batters" as Al Capone called him) of Chicago was one of the most powerful Mafia bosses in history. Sen. William Roth seems to be having some trouble pinning him down like the law did (Accardo spent only one night in prison in his entire life.)

Tony Accardo's Two River Forest Home's

"Big Tuna" Tony Accardo was Al Capone's driver and one of his muscleman. Another of his many nicknames Joe Batters came from his ability to wield a baseball bat. He got his start as a teenager running with the circus gang named after the cafe located at 1857 W. North where they hung out. Like his close confidante Paul "The Waiter" Ricca. Accardo was quickly recognized for his brains and rose fast in the Capone organization. Soon he became big Al's driver and may have had a role in the St. Valentines Day Massacre. After Capone's imprisonment for tax evasion there was a period of transition that saw Frank Nitti come out as the new boss. Accardo continued his rise in the organization. He first ascended to the throne in the 1940's when fellow Capone cohort Paul "The Waiter" Ricca was sentenced to prison. This began a twenty year power sharing arrangement between the two men that saw the Chicago mob become one of the most powerful and entrenched in the nations history. Following Ricca's retirement Accardo became the boss and continued as such until the late 80's. Sometimes he was out in front and sometime he used Sam Giancana or others as a front. In the early 1950's he moved out to River Forest and paid half a million (1950's) dollars for this huge mansion on Franklin about a block and a half away from Paul Ricca's home. Instead of adopting the quiet suburban lifestyle Accado's home became the scene of many lavish parties and soon was attracting to much heat. So he moved a <b>...</b>

SALVATORE ACCARDO SUONA PAGANINI-"CADENZA IN MI MINORE" 1974

Nicolo Paganini - Violin Concerto in D major (1817) - III. Allegro spirituoso (Salvatore Accardo)

Well, I managed to listen to all six of Paganini's violin concertos, and, though one can find considerable pleasure in these virtuoso works, my feelings, to be honest, are a bit conflicted. It is impossible not to admire the obvious skill of Paganini as both the soloist and the composer of the pieces but at times I found myself actually feeling a bit bored, in particular, by the repetitiveness of the rather overstretched opening movements (the shortest of which lasts about fifteen minutes) and by the formality of the central adagio passages. Some very attractive themes in the other movements (especially in the first and the second concertos) notwithstanding, the concertos are truly best represented by their final rondos/allegros which, in many cases, feature charming musical ideas (such as the "La campanella" rondo with a delightful bell effect) or, at the very least, are very much exciting and plain fun to listen to (the polonaise of the sixth concerto being a particularly clear example and one that I hope post as soon as possible). But the first piece I wanted to upload is the absolutely jubilant allegro of the most famous concerto, No. 1, in fact. Like many of his other works, the first concerto takes inspiration from the musical language of the belcanto school which was very much popular at the time (an especially obvious example is the opening allegro which features an orchestral prelude that almost seems to be a chorus before the entrance of the soloist). JS Bach - Violin Concertos BWV 1041-1043 / Anne-Sophie Mutter and Salvatore Accardo

Johan Sebastian Bach: Violin Concertos BWV 1041 - 1043. Anne-Sophie Mutter (violin) Salvatore Accardo (violin) & English Chamber Orchestra Video made by Maarten Kroon @ Hollandsk Gjestehus in Vinstra (Norway). Our guesthouse website link: www.hollandskgjestehus.com tel.: +47 61290045. Video shows you mainly "art nouveau" paintings from the years 1900 to 1930. Art Nouveau is an international philosophy and style of art, architecture and applied art—especially the decorative arts—that were most popular during 1890--1910. The name "Art Nouveau" is French for "new art". It is known also as Jugendstil, pronounced, German for "youth style", named after the magazine Jugend, which promoted it, as Modern in Russia, perhaps named after Parisian gallery "La Maison Moderne", as Secession in Austria-Hungary and its successor states after the Viennese group of artists, and, in Italy, as Stile Liberty from the department store in London, Liberty & Co., which popularised the style. A reaction to academic art of the 19th century, it was inspired by natural forms and structures, not only in flowers and plants but also in curved lines. Architects tried to harmonize with the natural environment. It is also considered a philosophy of design of furniture, which was designed according to the whole building and made part of ordinary life. The style was influenced strongly by Czech artist Alphonse Mucha, when Mucha produced a lithographed poster, which appeared on 1 January 1895 in the streets of <b>...</b>
