This is a preview video of a starcraft 2 map I'm working on. The game is an Aeon of Strife style player versus player map where each player on a team controls a hero unit that levels up. Unlike DotA, this game does not focus on choosing heroes, but rather, everyone starts with the same hero, which can be customized further by choice of abilities (5 out of 15), specializations and equipment setup. As of the posting of this video, the map is largely functional. Some animations and tooltips are still messy, and I'm using one of Blizzard's melee maps as terrain, but the general systems are working just fine. Project Description Page: www.sc2mapster.com

Contempt vs 181st Legion, Aeon of Strife and Black Podding. We start out heavily outnumbered 9:3 with several other war targets in an adjacent system, bringing the total up to at least 12 enemies. We undock in battleships and sit there tanking their incoming fire, which serves a few purposes: it causes the enemy to gain false confidence and stay in system while we wait for our support ewar pilots to arrive to counter the enemy gang's jamming. We begin to engage the enemy once our support is on the way. Seven kills, no losses on our first day of conflict. Two battleships, a heavy assault ship, a battlecruiser, cruiser and frigate went down during the first battle. Later on the enemy lost a crow interceptor, not featured here. The fighting lasted quite a while so I had to pick and choose what I wanted to show here.

Available on Europe, North America, Taiwan and South-east Asia servers. Search "aeon" then look for the map Aeon of Chaos. Gameplay: Allied computer troops spawn every 30 seconds. Control your hero to help your computer alliance to destroy enemy's towers and bases. Maximum hero level is 10. Each time the hero level, he will gain a ability point which can be used to learn / upgrade abilities. Buy items / upgrade your hero / hire bodyguards at the Xel'Naga Shrine of your base. (A dialog box will show up at the left end of your screen.) The side that destroy all three enemy bases first wins. Features: Additional mercenaries will spawn every 60 seconds once the hero reaches level 3. You can control their attack path with the dialog box at top left of the screen. Computer troops spawn for each paths are different. Plan your attack tactfully! Every time a computer base is destroyed, the remaining computer bases of that computer force will produce more units or stronger units. Known issues (please tell me if you know how to fix!): Sniper's Penetrator Round is based on that of Raynor. However, the red laser indicator is designed for single player map and is buggy if applied to multiplayer. Therefore, I removed the indicator althogether. Mimic life and energy reset when it changes form, due to that life and energy modifying behaviors (Strength, Psi-Power) not compatible with the morph type abilities.
