Aftermath Entertainment's Artists & Albums

SONG: Ready For War [Prod. by Dr. Dre] A short video that I made about Aftermath Entertainment's artists and albums. Hope you like it! Right after Dr. Dre left his own Death Row Records (founded with Suge Knight) in 1996, he launched Aftermath Entertainment. Almost every current and former artist on Aftermath Entertainment is a hip hop/rap artist. Except for Nikki Grier and former artists Amiee Terrin, Antonio, Brooklyn, Dawn Robinson, Marsha Ambrosius, Shaunta, Tiffany Villarreal and Truth Hurts. They are R&B singers. Joint ventures: 1.) 50 Cent: with Eminem's Shady Records. 2.) Hayes: with Timbaland's Mosley Music Group. Former joint ventures: 1.) Slim da Mobster: with Eminem's Shady Records and 50 Cent's G-Unit Records. (Still signed to Aftermath) 2.) Game: with 50 Cent's G-Unit Records. (Resigned to Aftermath in 2010) 3.) Busta Rhymes: with Busta Rhymes's Flipmode Entertainment. 4.) Eve: with Ruff Ryders Entertainment and Swizz Beatz's Full Surface Records. 5.) Stat Quo: with Eminem's Shady Records.

Dr. Dre - Keep Their Heads Ringin

1995 "Friday Soundtrack" Dre (Andre Young) was born in February 18, 1965, Los Angeles, California. He was raised in Compton, and got his nickname by adoring basketball superstar, Dr. J. His step-brother is Warren G. His brother got killed in a fight while Dre was on tour with NWA "My brother was my best friend. He was three years younger than me." Dre tells of being on the road when he received a phone call with the bad news. "You never forget that." He started off as a DJ for parties as a teenager, and soon earned himself a spot in the "Eve After Dark" club, where he would play keyboards and sing. Once a member of the rather anonymous group, "World Class Wreckin' Cru", Dre earned himself a name by producing tracks for Eazy-E, the DOC and others, and later became a gangsta rap pioneer as a co-founder, member, co-producer and rapper in the controversial group, NWA (Niggaz With Attitude). The band was extremely successful and was very promoted by endless scandals and unfettered messages of street violence. The debut album (Straight Outta compton) went platinum with minimal radio play, the second LP entered the charts at number one. The group disbanded in '91, but Dre didn't stop for a second: He established Death Row Records along with Marion "Suge" Knight, and shortly after released "The Chronic" (1992), which sold over three million copies, won two Grammy Awards, and is still considered to be one of the most influential rap albums ever. Last Dayz - Hittman Ft. Dr Dre

Real name Brian Bailey, Hittman was born and raised in Branson,California in 1974. He was supposed to be Dr. Dre's next big discovery, and he featured prominently on Dre's second album "2001". Hittman joined Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment in 1998, and although he has released a solo album, Hittmanic Verses on 24 October 2006, on Sickbay Records, Hittman is best known for his contributions to Dr. Dre's 6× platinum selling album 2001, with appearances on nine of the album's 22 tracks. This makes him the most represented of 2001's more than twenty guest artists. Hittman was orginially supposed to release "Murder Weapon" in 2000, on Aftermath, however, the album was shelved and Hittman left Aftermath in October 2001. In a interview for MTV in 2000 Dr. Dre says:Well, Hittman is our next protege. He's the next person that we're going to groom and try to build into a superstar, super hip-hop star. He's incredible. He could sing, his rhymes are ridiculous, and his delivery is incredible. That's why he's heard on the album probably more than I am, you know what I'm sayin'. He's incredible. And he's a real cool, laid-back guy, you know, so I know, outside of the studio, he's not going to do anything to ruin his career. Here's what he said in an interview for dubcnn.com in July 2006: Dubcnn: What's going on with you Hittman? Hittman: Man just listening to some songs we're about to finish mixing down. Me and my partner Stunt Man, we formed a group called The Constructicons. We're ...
