F-15E Strike Eagle Demonstration Strike Eagle Demo Team 2009 NAS Oceana Airshow Naval Air Station Oceana Virginia Beach, Virginia Saturday October 17, 2009 IN THIS VIDEO, Captains Phil "Ritz" Smith and Mike "Cash" Meade take this Strike Eagle through its paces in a truly flat show performance over NAS Oceana - the only time Ritz and Cash would fly over the entire weekend. Normally John "Gizmo" Cox would fly in the back seat but Ritz took the new demo pilot up for orientation - something that should have happened on Friday, but didn't. There was also no Heritage Flight because of the low clouds. It should also be noted that Major George "Dog" Clifford was also in attendance with the Viper East Demonstration Team, but Dog never got a chance to show off the F-16. I have yet to ask him why but two things come to mind - the weather, and the fact that the 20th Fighter Wing had a voluntary grounding due to a tragic accident that took place in the days prior to the NAS Oceana Airshow. This is a video of a stunt pilot who, in real life, is a Delta Airlines pilot. His act at air shows is to pretend that he is a drunken spectator, who rushes from the stands and jumps into a Piper Cub and takes off without any understanding of how to fly a plane. The Piper Cub is actually specifically built to withstand an enormous amount of stress and has a very powerful engine. This type of stunt is actually the most dangerous of air show acts, because of the low altitude at which the pilot performs. Obviously, this pilot possesses unbelievable skill. I hope he does not do it on a Delta jet I fly!

You will get to see vertical landings and a vertical takeoff in this demonstration, as Runway 6L/24R is constructed primarily of concrete. The aircraft came from VMA-211, the Wake Island Avengers, who are based at MCAS Yuma, Arizona. The callsign of this aircraft was WAKE 11. Watch as the US Navy Blue Angels perform their first Air Show of the season over the skies of NAF El Centro. Due to high winds, Fat Albert or the C-130 that took its place for this show was not able to fly. I know I missed a lot of the shots and I do apologize for that, I ended up cutting a few parts out but nothing that would really ruin the video. By the time the blues took to the skies, winds were almost 40mph. My shotgun mic ended up breaking and is noticeable in the video, so sorry for the change in sound. There's no more JATO demonstrations, as the 2009 Blue Angels Homecoming Airshow had the last JATO. Acts two, three, and four feature the six demonstration pilots climbing into their F/A-18 Hornets, taking to the skies, and returning after their LAST airshow performance of the 2010 season. Arrival and flight of Glacier Girl, the P-38 recovered from under almost 300 feet of ice in Greenland. First part of the video shows Glacier Girl, a P-40, a Hellcat, and a Corsair of the Planes of Fame sponsored 2003 Freedom Tour beating up the runway with low passes on arriving at Columbia, MO. on Friday evening. It was completed only two days before the Columbia, Mo "Salute to Veterans" airshow after an eleven year restoration effort. It contains 80% original parts. US Navy Blue Angels Aerial Performance 2009 MCAS Miramar Airshow MCAS Miramar Miramar, California Friday October 2, 2009 IN THIS VIDEO, I have combined the entire Blue Angels show into one video - you will get to see the pilots march out to the jets, their performance, and return back to parking. Even though it was overcast, the Blues flew a high show since the clouds were well above 12000 feet. In my opinion, the Blues seemed to be on their best game during the entire weekend at Miramar. You will see the second #7 jet land with smoke coming from the aircraft. I do not know the exact cause of the smoke but it seemed as if it was coming from the right main gear's brakes. Flying in the back seat of both #7 jets are two aviators who will become a part of the 2010 team. I apologize for any bad color and/or vertical lines or American flag intrusion that may or may not be in this video. My vantage point in the show proved to be excellent as Booster took off from Runway 24R, and the 1000 foot mark of the runway was practically in front of me, and you get to see an almost-EOR vantage point for his takeoff. Following the demo, Booster joined up with Kevin Eldridge flying a P-51D Mustang for a Heritage Flight. The team flew their high show, which was cut short due to Snowbird #1, Major Chris Bard, having to make an emergency landing due to having hit a bird while in flight. He then switched to the #10 jet to resume the show, but by then, a lot of time had been eaten up and the team could not complete the show. Airshowvision proudly present the awesome ex. cold war nuclear bomber - the Avro Vulcan B2 XH558. This aircraft was saved from the scrapheap by the Vulcan to the Sky trust, headed by Robert Pleming, and after years of restoration and fund raising, made its airshow return at Waddington exactly 3 years ago. This display is flown by top Vulcan display pilot Kevin Rumins, who easily otperforms all the other vulcan display pilots, with his crowd thrilling wingover manouvers. Waddington airshow 2011 wasn't a classic, but this aircraft wowed the crowds and upstaged the rather disappointing USAF Thunderbirds, who still haven't discovered coloured smoke it seems? This video is uploaded especially for my good friend Jim Connoly, ex Vulcan serviceman, walking encyclopedia on the Vulcan and extremely nice chap.
