[1960] Ali baba Bujang Lapok On HD Part 1
Ali Baba Bujang Lapok is a 1960 Malaysia/Singapore comedy film directed by, written by and starring Malaysian silver-screen legend P. Ramlee and produced in Singapore by Malay Film Productions Ltd. Based loosely on the story of Ali Baba from 1001 Arabian Nights, the film is occasionally self-referential and contains elements of anarchic comedy, burlesque comedy and farce. The title includes the suffix Bujang Lapok because it is the third installment in the Bujang Lapok series of comedy films that star the trio of P. Ramlee, S. Shamsuddin and Aziz Sattar. This film marked the feature film debut of Sarimah, who would go on to a long movie career, and is also notable as one of the few P. Ramlee films where he plays the villain. Plot Ali Baba (Aziz Sattar) is poor man who cannot seem to succeed in life. He constantly sends his wife to his brother Kassim Baba's house to borrow flour so they can eat, but the stingy Kassim Baba (S. Shamsuddin) is frustrated at his brother and constantly reminds his wife of Ali Baba's uselessness. One day, when Ali Baba is out gathering firewood he sees a group of 40 thieves marching through the woods carrying loot and riches. He hides in a tree and watches their leader (P. Ramlee) stand in front of a mountain of rock and sing a verse of seemingly nonsensical words (in actuality a Javanese language poem) which cause a passageway in the mountain to open. Ali Baba waits until the thieves have all left the cave before coming out of the tree and <b>...</b>

Ali Baba (Dharmendra) and his elder brother Qassim were the sons of a wealthy merchant. After the death of their father, Qassim exiled Ali Baba from their father's inheritance and business. Ali Baba would earn his daily bread by cutting firewood in the forest. One day he happens to overhear a group of forty thieves visiting their treasure store in the forest. The treasure is in a cave, the mouth of which is sealed by magic. It opens when someone utters the words ""Khulja Simsim" and seals itself again if they say ""Band Hoja Simsim"". When the thieves are gone, Ali Baba enters the cave himself, and takes some of the treasure home. Ali Baba's sister-in-law informs her husband, Qassim about the wealth. Qassim goes to the cave to take more of the treasure. Nonetheless, in his greed and excitement, he forgets the magic words to get back out of the cave. The thieves find him there and kill him. When his brother does not come back, Ali Baba goes to the cave to look for him. He finds Qassim's body, cut into many pieces and displayed just inside the entrance of the cave to discourage any similar attempts in the future. Ali Baba gets enraged and decides to settle scores with all the forty thieves? How adventurous will this combat be? What will happen to the box of treasures? Who will own the wealth ultimately?

Guleban is terrorized by dacoits. Ali Baba hears the password to the door of the cave of the dacoits and takes a lot of jewels from the cave. His brother is killed by the dacoits as he forgets the password and is trapped inside. A young girl whose father has been murdered by the dacoits (Zeenat Aman) has a score to settle with Abu Hasan. Abu Hasan turns out to be the head of the dacoits and he comes to know that Ali Baba visits the cave. He hides the 40 thieves in large urns to kill Ali Baba. Ali Baba comes to know of this and kills them all. He brings to light the startling truth that their own ruler heads the dacoits!

Although Ali Baba's name appears is the title, Bluto actually plays the baddie named Abu Hassan. Upon hearing of the evil deeds of the bandit and his 40 thieves, Popeye, Olive and J. Wellington Wimpy fly to Arabia. Olive and Wimpy are captured. Abu forces Olive to do the laundry and chains Wimpy to a pole. It's hilarious to watch Wimpy use the loose part of the chain to sneakily snake himself some whole roasted chickens while Abu Hassan is drinking. Popeye sneaks into Abu's hideout to rescue them, but finds himself outnumbered forty-one to one. Not to worry, however, with the aid of his spinach, Popeye prevails again. ENJOY! Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves
Ali Baba, son of the Kalif of Bagdad is brought up by the 40 Thieves after his father is killed by the soldiers of Hugalu Khan, who received the necessary information by traitor Cassim. Ali becomes the leader of the thieves and they are fighting for the freedom of his land. Per chance Ali captures the fiancée of Hugalu Khan, who turns out to be his girl friend Amara. After a few misunderstandings Ali uses her wedding day with Hugalu Khan as the day for the liberation of Bagdad. The Way of St. James (ie: The Way of Western Freemasonry) is first and foremost a French road (Grand Orient). 80% of all Pilgrims who assemble in Paris at the Tour St. Jaques to undertake the journey into Spain are French, while the remainder speaks mostly English or German. On "The Way" French is the language spoken at all the Monasteries and Cathedrals. The allegory behind the quest is that of Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves.
