This video is from my trip to Syria during 2005. Lots of scenes from Damascus, particularly from the old quarter near the Ummayad mosque. I rented a car and did a large circular route around the country stopping in Hama, Allepo, Raqaa, Palmyra and An Tanf. My car broke down in the desert along the Iraqi border and it ended up being a huge headache. Syria was a very nice country to visit and was surpisingly open and easy to travel in.

Bella is not wearing a diaper because she isn't house broken, she's wearing pants because making this film she was in heat and I didn't want all the blood to mess up my home. I also referred her as a "shepherd" because she likes the "herd" Aragorn. She is a Chinese Crested - not a German Shepherd.

About this place: In the year 61 AH the disaster of Karabala on the day of Ashoora didnt satisfy Yazid (may Allah curse him), so he ordered to carry the heads of Imam Husain (as) and the martyrs, and the ladies and infants from Karbala to Damascus in a terrible way. The captivity surrounded by the army reached Hallab (Allepo) and reached near a monastery. The monk(rahib)of the monastery saw the crowd and looked at the head of Imam Husain (as) which was on a spear surrounded by a heavy light upto the sky. He asked the army to permit him to spend that night beside the Hold Head by giving them a reward of 10000 dirhams. The monk put the Hold Head on a stone and spent the night talking and crying. In the morning the army came and took it back and left to Damascus. The monk declared that he became muslim by the blessing and miracles of the Holy Head. The stone in the picture is the place where Imam Husain(as)'s head was placed by the Monk.
