All of Ebony's growing fanbase will be delighted by another video from her much acclaimed album, "Never Look Back", on Expansion Records. It's a whole glorious brand new day for Ebony. Her wonderful album is finally out on Expansion, along with this wistful moody number which I have adored since the day we wrote it. Ebony was first signed to a major label in 2002. I was brought in to produce her entire album. We did an magnificent album of generic live "real" smooth sophisticated soul music, with a huge orchestra (sixty strings, thirty brass), with a Burt Bacharach/Dionne Warwick flavour overall, and this was well before Nora Jones, Joss Stone, Corinne Bailey Rae, and most particularly Amy Winehouse, all hit with basically the same thing. The Ebony album was utterly utterly wonderful, and I was so proud of it. It took a year and a half to make, and the legendary head of A&R, Muff Winwood, oversaw it personally. "Walk Away And Never Look Back", was the first song we recorded. We introduced her to the soul scene by reactivating the old classic Okeh label, owned by Sony, and pressing up tiny limited editions of three all different singles on the Okeh label on seven inch vinyl. Everything looked wonderful and rosy, but suddenly Ebony was set free without a record being released. Now nearly five years later, along with brand new 2007 material, justice finally gets served, and the world gets to hear what I consider to be my finest hour musically.

Ed Alleyne-Johnson is a British electric violinist and prolific busker. He has been busking since he was a Fine Art student at Oxford University in the early 1980s. He uses an electric violin that he carved with a kitchen knife, a custom pedal-board, and an amplifier which he modified to run off rechargeable batteries. This setup has enabled him to perform on the street in almost every major city in Europe, and across the United States and Canada.

Akon has been blamed for a "crude stage sex act" with an underage girl in Trinidad. In response to that he recorded the song "Sorry - Blame it on me", in which he apologizes for that and a load more. This is what Ive read in an article: "The girl is the daughter of a minister, and she says she's sorry that she went to the concert and that she was hurt by the rapper: ´I got carried away, I started to dance as well, but I never thought it was going to be like that´, Danah Alleyne told the Trinidad Express. ´I was shocked. My head was hitting the floor.´ " This is a video of the innocent girl, before their "sex act". Watch and be the judge yourself. Este vídeo mostra a menina de 15 anos que muitos consideram ter sido violentada por Akon em um clube em Trinidad. O vídeo mostra cenas da garota antes de dançar com o rapper. This is a great song from our album, "Northern Soul 2007", which we released last September on Centre City Records and is still available to buy. This is my protege, Ebony Alleyne, performing a song which I wrote with her as a tribute to Blackpool Mecca in the mid 1970s, and all those early New York funky disco records like "Dreaming A Dream" and "Foxy Lady" by The Crown Heights Affair, and "Cathedrals" by DC Larue. The greatest regret of my entire career is the sad story of the Ebony Alleyne album She was a wonderful nineteen year old singer signed to Sony in 2002. I was brought in to produce her entire album. Everything looked wonderful and rosy, and I was already clearing a space on the wall for my Grammy award, when disaster struck. The Chairman of Sony had a very bad falling out with the girl's manager over an entirely different project that he managed, and Ebony was mercilessly and unceremoniously, and in my opinion UNNECESSARILY dropped, without a record ever hitting the shops. And still she sits unsigned to this day, the recordings all went to waste, and ...

LYRICS: "Midnight Blue" Whatever it is we'll keep 'til the morning, Haven't we both got better things to do? Midnight blue. Even the simple things we cover up, Haven't we had enough? And I think we can make it, One more time, If we tried, One more time for all the old times. For all of the times you told me you need me, Needing me now is something I could use, Midnight blue. Wouldn't you give your hand to a friend? Maybe it's not the end. . . And I think we can make it, One more time, If we tried, One more time for all the old times, Midnight blue. . . I think we can make it, I think we can make it Oh-oh-oh, wouldn't you give your heart to a friend? Think of me as your friend And I think we can make it One more time, If we tried, One more time for all of the old- old lonely times. . . One more time (yes I think that we could make it) I think we can make it (how I think we could make it) If we tried (yes I think we could make it) One more time (how I think we could make it) One more time (yes I think we could make it) Think we can make it *fade*

This is my absolute favourite out of all the Ebony songs. It was from the moment we wrote it, and I fought hard and long to get it recorded with an orchestra, and finally got my way, and it's just breathtakingly magnificent. This is now the fourth video by the wonderful Ebony Alleyne that I have managed to piece together for my four different MySpace pages. Although, while we were recording all the songs, and she was appearing at the Togetherness weekender, we shot lots of footage, once I came to study what we had, there was virtually none of this particular song, and it's such an important song to me, that we've gone out of our way to shoot footage for it, to make a decent video to showcase this beautiful lady's talent. This song was recorded in 2002 and has always been special to me. I think of it as a sort of homage to the 1960s, and in particular Burt Bacharach and Dionne Warwick. We originally introduced Ebony to the soul scene by reactivating the old classic Okeh label, owned by Sony, and pressing up tiny limited editions of three all different singles on the Okeh label on seven inch vinyl. This song was the last of the three 45 vinyl seven inches, and probably the most sought after. Ebony has caused an amazing amount of interest here on MySpace, and I've had lots of messages raving about her material, and her videos, enough to make me rush back in the studio with her to cut something brand new in 2007, called "You Caught Me Off Guard". In the meantime, sit back and ...

This is the third video by the wonderful Ebony Alleyne that I have managed to piece together for my three different MySpace pages. Luckily, when we were recording the songs and she was appearing at the Togetherness weekender, we shot lots of footage, more than I actually realised until I studied it all, and so consequently, we had more than enough footage of this wonderful haunting song to be able to make a great video of it. This song was recorded in 2002 and was one of Ebony's original demos that I first heard when I was asked to work with her, and this particular song sold me on her as an artist. But I didn't like the original chorus, so Clive Scott and I re-wrote it, and then did a whole new arrangement on the song for a big orchestra, and now it's one of my favourite tracks that I had the privilege of cutting on her. Out of all the acts that I've ever worked with, Ebony is the one who has had the roughest breaks, and who is most deserving of becoming an international superstar. She has poise and charm and grace, and is a truly lovely person. My favourite, of all the songs that we have so far cut on her, is called "Second Look", and as there was no video footage of that one, we're actually going to go out soon and shoot some. Plus we're about to cut a brand new track, a sort of homage to the Salsoul sound, which will be ready in a couple of weeks. Ebony has caused an amazing amount of interest here on MySpace, and I've had lots of messages raving about her material ...

Conjuring up memories of Marvin and Tammi, Noel McKoy and Ebony Alleyne team up for the first time with a performance that gave me utter goosebumps. They have such an amazing chemistry together, and I love this song that we all wrote together. Ebony's album on Expansion has been wowing all the critics, and now she has recorded three brand new songs for this new compilation alum, Northern Soul 2007, one of which is this duet with the amazingly fabulous Noel McKoy. This track is absolutely brand new, less than three weeks old at the time of posting, and is coming out on myutterly fabulous exciting new album called "Northern Soul 2007", which will be released in September, on Centre City Records, distributed by Expansion Records and Passion Music. The new album, which is now totally finished, consists of twenty four brand new 2007 songs by soul and disco legends, including Leee John, Gee Morris, The Flirtations, Voices With Soul, Ebony Alleyne, Noel McKoy, and lots of others. Each song has an accompanying video of the artist basically performing it the studio and in outside locations. Because a lot of my fans on MySpace and YouTube have been begging me to do this, I decided to get up and make it happen, so there will be a giveaway DVD with the CD showing the same twenty-some songs, all being performed in the same running order as the CD. As long as all the filming gets finished to accompany the 24 songs, it'll be in the shops and online in September. I had to post this video ...

Sorry about the wrong spelling in the subtitle at the beginning and at the end of the video: it's Alleyne, not Allen. Allen is the character name...oh gosh ah shame...lol. The illegal looking stuff are all fake: the drugs is actually a ziplock bag full of salt and the gun is a piece of wood painted in black. The 'gun' was disposed of after videotaping under the supervision of an off duty police officer. With the exception of the guy wearing the cap, all other voices heard are impersonated by Gary Jagrup. Kudos to the real Ian Alleyne, Om Lalla and Sgt. Alexander...keep up the great work!
