I installed this light show at a friends home in Fountain Valley, CA. It's dedicated to the memory of Larry Stewart who passed away on May 15th, 2011. Larry and his wife always wanted to do something big for Christmas, this is their dream come to fruition, I was glad to assist in making this happen. This setup consists of 56100 LEDs (220 StellaGreen strings controlled by 15 StellaScapes E16-II controllers), programmed to dance to the music via MADRIX Ultimate running on a custom built Core i5-760 @ 2.8GHz w/ 8GB of RAM. The snowflakes, arches, mini trees, mega tree, & star topper were all made by me. Several custom effects were programmed in MADRIX. All networking, installation, research, programming, & all nighters performed by me (Damion) EDIT, the title says 54020 LEDs, this error was brought to my attention by Fabian Gordon, a real good guy in the lighting scene. I arrived at 54020 during one of many 48+ work days and made a mistake. It's really 56100 LEDs. Too late to change the video now though :P I'd like to thank Jan for giving me the opportunity & trust to tackle this project. Gravity Hidden Blade: Just got the AC encyclopedia as a gift so... new design for a simple, sturdy prop matching the looks of the AC hidden blade from the AC encyclopedia. Despite the lack of a DAOTF mech in the design, I actually really like this design. Super simple, light, realiable and has the OS looks from the game. Safety ring from DAOTF hidden blade 2.0 has been improved/modded for this blade. Made with 3D Printer (Vero Black), super glue, tape, string, springs/spring wire, and silver/black/gold paint. As for posting files or schematics/files: Sorry... due to some comments on this and my other videos as well as some really "interesting" comments on certain forums, I'm seeing there is a non-trivial number of "unique" individuals who are not interested in this design as a prop or toy. From the 'Kind of Blue' sessions, the finest jazz sessions in the history of jazz. Probably the most influential sessions also. All of this is one take and pure improvisation. This is the take that went on the album, there are others. Bill Evan's sense of composition, melody, and modal progression are on full display in this song. He was the one who composed it, then they all made magic in the studio. Miles Davis' crowning achievement was putting these guys and these songs together. I think this is an improvement over my last upload(lost when account deleted) of this that had hundreds of thousands of views.
