Destini - Walt Disney Imagineering "Playtest" at Disneyland 9/25
Walt Disney Imagineering conducted what they call a "playtest" of a prototype animatronic character at Disneyland on September 24 and 25, 2010. The character was called Destini, and looked quite a bit like Pepe the King Prawn from the Muppets. Destini was housed in an oversize fortune teller's booth. After inserting a quarter into a slot on the front of the booth, the curtain opened and this was the show. It's difficult to see in the video, but the crystal ball in front of the character displayed our friend's face, and this is the image that was printed out for her at the end of the performance.

Digging through my box of old cassette tapes from Westover Church, I listened to all the old songs sung by the choir during the 1999-2004 era. Back in those days, we did a lot of traditional choral arrangements. Sit back, and enjoy these older classics. And for those of you that have never heard these before, you are in for a treat! This is the 3rd of the group to be posted. This one has a more contemporary feel to it. "Your Grace Still Amazes Me", a very moving hymn by Phillips, Craig And Dean. Phillips, Craig, and Dean are probably one of my favorite christian groups. This is an excellent song, and really speaks to me...His grace still amazes me, I don't want to take that grace for granted though. He's patient and ready to forgive all those that call on him.. In my Christian walk, when I have fell short and sinned, I am truly amazed at how fast God is willing to forgive me and restore me if I truly repent. I used to think that I had to pay a price or endure some length of time away from God as a consequense of whatever mistake I made.. But that turned out to be a device of the devil who is always trying to seperate us from God. This is a terrific story from the show Britain's Got Talent. The audience has little expectation for this cell phone salesman, Paul Potts, until he brings them to their feet with an amazing performance of an extremely difficult opera song - Puccinis Nessun Dorma. Within two minutes, Paul shows more emotion than all the contestants combined. I'm not into opera but even I had to watch this video a number of times. Biography: Paul Potts was raised in Fishponds, Bristol, by his father Roland, a bus driver, and mother, Yvonne, a supermarket cashier. Paul has two brothers and one sister, and attended St. Mary Redcliffe school where he first developed his love of singing. In the interview that was broadcast before his performance in the semi-final, Paul stated that he had trouble with being bullied in school, and that it may have had an influence on his lack of self-confidence. Until June 19, 2007 Potts worked as a manager at the Bridgend Carphone Warehouse, a mobile phone store around 8 miles from his home town. On June 9, 2007, Potts' audition of Simon Cowell's new search-for-a-star show Britain's Got Talent was televised on ITV in UK. The actual audition was held at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff on March 17, 2007. Paul sang a condensed version of Giacomo Puccini's "Nessun dorma", which impressed the judges and received a standing ovation from the audience of 2000 people.
