I've been listening to this a lot since I got the 12" (and now the Sonic Mass CD), and it was making me think of WB Yeats' 'The Second Coming' www.youtube.com and Blake's 'Jerusalem', www.youtube.com so I thought I'd have a go at mixing them into the song. The Yeats poem was slightly too long for the intro as it is on the original song so i took the feedback from the 'Redux' version of 'Arise!', reversed it and timestretched it, and layered it over the beginning and end of the song. I also added a field recording of carrion crows (courtesy of Raye Caluori) to the start, and hey presto. The images are just stuff from the internet and some images I had lying around from badges and CD covers that I designed.
