Amresh Puri, died 17th January 2005 at the age of 72 in Mumbai (Bombay) from a brain haemorrhage. Puri suffered a blood clot in the brain and slipped into coma, the family sources said, adding he was also being treated for malaria. He is survived by wife, a son and a daughter. Puri, known for his versatility and great acting prowess, performed remarkably in Mr India as underworld don, Mogambo.
