There are pipe organs, clarinets, and flutes that emit light-beams as they play notes; some trumpets and tubas affixed to walls, and they stick out when they play individually; a one-stringed rock bass guitar played by robot fingers, two of which slide up and down its neck; a yellow synthesizer; and a drum set, and two large, curved instruments, the hammered dulcimer and the xylophone, played by robots that pivot and slide back and forth to hit their mark. A friend had the Animusic DVD and showed us all at a party. I fell in love with this song, naturally, and it was recently recommended by someone here on youtube that I play this. I know it's not a videogame, but it's about as close as you can get. I feel this piece is simple, yet very well done, and in this video I try to capture not only the exact sound of the harp, but the motions as well by using only my index fingers to play every string, almost exactly as it's done in the video. I hope you all enjoy this version, and I hope you can hear the remaining instruments in your head as you listen. I know I do. *Note* Sorry, but I do not have the sheet music for this. I did it all by ear, just like my other videos.

This is taken from the Radeon 9700 Realtime Demo featuring Animusic's Pipe Dream animation. Pipe Dream is probably their most famous animation, in no small part because of the email hoax that went around several years ao, claiming that it was a real machine, the attached video low enough quality that it wasn't immediately obvious that it was CGI. Since then, it's gained popularity off its own back really, being an excellent piece of work, and great fun to watch. I couldn't find a decent high definition video of this sequence online anywhere, so I decided to fix that little issue. Enjoy! NB While this is derived from the same animation, it isn't the same animation that features on the Animusic DVD, and that can be found elsewhere as the Animusic - Pipe Dream sequence. This was specifically distributed as a realtime rendering demo for the ATi Radeon 9700. Just to clear that up. As far as I know, the proper Animusic version of this animation isn't available anywhere in 1080p.

This is an updated render of The Ball Machine. The balls are a little easier to see in this version than the old render. The Ball Machine is a music animation inspired by Animusic. The difference between Animusic's animations and mine is that I don't have software to calculate all the keyframes for me. Everything in my animations is done "by hand." This animation took about 300 hours and was created using 3ds Max, GarageBand, Photoshop, and iMovie.
