Anneliese Rothenberger - WAMozart "Die Zauberflöte" (The Magic Flute) - Ach, ich fühl´s

WAMozart "Die Zauberflöte" (The Magic Flute) - Ach, ich fühl´s (Image: As Gilda, Rigoletto) Anneliese Rothenberger - Pamina Wolfgang Sawallisch - Conductor Orchestran of the Bavarian State Opera, Munich Tribute to great German soprano Anneliese Rothenberger who passed away on 24 May 2010. RIP Article from guardian.co.uk, Wednesday 26 May 2010 by Barry Millington The soprano Anneliese Rothenberger, who has died at the age of 83, was one of the most distinguished and popular German singers of the postwar period. Her career was founded initially on the lighter soubrette roles, and she won great acclaim for her performance as Sophie in the film of Der Rosenkavalier (1961), conducted by Herbert von Karajan -- earning the accolade of "the best Sophie in the world" from one of Richard Strauss's great collaborators, the soprano Lotte Lehmann. Shortly after this, however, she began to move into slightly heavier roles in which her success was more mixed. Her enduring popularity was sealed by a second career, initiated in the 1970s, as a television host. Born in Mannheim, Rothenberger studied at the Musikhochschule there with Erika Müller, making her debut in Koblenz in 1943. After the war, the theatre in Hamburg, which had been destroyed in an air raid, was replaced by a temporary structure in 1946 and a new company formed by Günther Rennert. Rothenberger was a member of that ensemble alongside Martha Mödl, Gustav Neidlinger and Rudolf Schock. Her roles there included Blonde in ...

Anneliese: The Exorcist Tapes

Bavaria, Germany. 1976. 23-year-old ANNELIESE MICHEL has been undergoing a series of exorcisms performed by PASTOR ERNST ALT and FATHER ARNOLD RENZ. To the dismay of her parents ANNA and JOSEF, the exorcisms have all been unsuccessful. At the invitation of Josef, American epilepsy expert DR. LANDERS, along with a small camera crew, have come to the Michel's home to document her case of "epilepsy." DR. GRUBER, a German physician, also joins the group. Very quickly, they learn that Anneliese exhibits symptoms far beyond normal epileptic behavior, including growling like an animal and licking her own urine off the floor. Other strange activity happens in and around the house: crows smash themselves against the building, crucifixes and other religious artwork fall off the walls with no prompting. Undeterred, Dr. Gruber insists that there must be a rational explanation—he has the crew set up cameras all over the house to carefully document the activity. Anneliese Van Der Pol - A Day in the sun Lyrics

Anneliese Van Der Pol A Day in the sun Lyrics Everything's working out fine You've got all the things you want and I've got mine No more struggle and strife Kickin' back and diggin'...it's a wonderful life And then you awoke To start the day out laughing It's some kind of a joke Everybody's waiting for a day in the sun Everybody's working hard to have some fun First you want a million then a million and one Everybody's waiting for a day in the sun City girls and small town boys Lots of pretty people tryin' to make some noise They'd be chilling if they only could Instead of tryin' hard to look so good But they try and they try Waiting for the clouds to disappear from the sky Everybody's waiting for a day in the sun Everybody's working hard to have some fun First you want a million then a million and one Everybody's waiting for a day in the sun Everybody's doing everything they can Some will count on luck and some will make a plan If you want to get it, got to get it done Everybody's waiting for a day in the sun Mama said 'Listen to me, I can't tell you what your life's gonna be Every day there's something new, it's true A light could shine on you' But they try and they try Waiting for the clouds to disappear from the sky Everybody's waiting for a day in the sun Everybody's working hard to have some fun First you want a million then a million and one Everybody's waiting for a day in the sun Everybody's doing everything they can Some will count on luck and some will make a ...

100 Greatest Singers: ANNELIESE ROTHENBERGER

THIS PROJECT IS RESERVED ONLY FOR THE GREATEST! What do you think about Anneliese Rothenberger in this collection? Please comment! Anneliese Rothenberger, Soprano (1926-2010) Friedrich Freiherr von Flotow Martha Letzte Rose (Last rose of summer) sung in german with Fritz Wunderlich, Tenor (1930-1966) (Recorded 1960) My personal opinion: In germany, Anneliese Rothenberger still is very popular. She´d made hundred of recordings and TV-Shows and was omnipresent. With this it´s easy to overestimate her, but choosing her in this list is full persuasion. Rothenberger was a typical german style lyric soprano, made for Mozart, Strauss and for operettas. But she sang almost everything from baroque to modern music, even Lulu. Barely another soprano I know had such a crystal clear pronunciation and such an aristocratic timbré. I rate her more than Schwarzkopf, especially in Lieder and operettas. And hearing her Un bel di (unfortunately only available in german) gives me chills down my spine. She was excellent! I´m very sad to learn, that on May 24th 2010, Frau Rothenberger passed away. She always was my favorite german soprano, and for me with this sad message an era came to an end... THE COMPLETE OVERVIEW: GO TO "ALL SINGERS IN THIS LIST"

ANNELIESE ROTHENBERGER (1926-2010) " MONDNACHT" ROBERT SCHUMANN

Zawsze wywoływał on żywe reakcje i ogromne duchowe poruszenie.
