A movie made with video shot from a key chain camera that I mounted to an Apogee Aspire model rocket. The camera is taped to the upper body tube using electrical tape. I used an Estes E9-6 engine in the rocket. The rocket was launched in an industrial park in Eugene, Oregon on June 7, 2010.

The Apogee Duet II is Mac only :o( while the RME Babyface is bot Mac & PC, Yay! Sonically I personally prefer the sound of the Babyface, the Duet sounds pushed forward and slightly sharp to me but both units are at the top of the sonic pile but for my money although the Babyface does not have the looks of the Duet II it offers so much more under the hood. Total Mix FX is so powerful and the additional ADAT offering allows system growth. Now lets see how they sound now with some basic recordings. Ozomatli records with Apogee ONE
While beginning to work on their new record with producer Tony Berg, six-piece Los Angeles based group, Ozomatli, took time to record with Apogees brand new USB music interface, ONE. Within 2 hours time, Ozomatli wrote, arranged, and recorded an entire song using only a Mac, GarageBand, a single external mic and ONE. The guitar, conga, tambourine, and even the keyboard (micing the keyboards built in speaker) were all recorded using ONEs internal condenser microphone. The bass and Requinto guitar were recorded direct, using ONEs 1/4 Hi-Z instrument input. Taking advantage of ONEs 65 dB microphone preamp, the vocals were recorded via a standard dynamic mic into the XLR input. Shortly after this session the group hit the road, now each equipped with a ONE and a Mac laptop in order to continue pre-production for the new record.

Producer and songwriter Dave Tozer, whose Grammy-winning work with John Legend catapulted his career back in 2004, shows Symphony I/O's versatility in 3 different, real-life recording situations. First at his New York City studio, Dave records synth parts with his Symphony System and Logic, then we move to JSM Music in New York to record drums with Symphony I/O as a front end to Pro Tools. Finally, on a third track, he records acoustic guitar with Symphony I/O connected to the Symphony 64 card into Logic. Dave Tozer has produced, performed, and written with artists such as Kanye West, John Legend, Free Sol, Musiq Soulchild, Jazmine Sullivan, Bridget Kelley, and Emile Sande.
Apogee One Review with Peavey 6505+
Hopefully this helps. To clarify, the only reason you can hear the guitar picking is due to the lower volume and the fact that I am sitting three feet from the amp. Condenser mics are more sensitive than dynamic mics and therefore are more sensitive at lower volumes.
