Arai's main focus is on the experienced rider who knows what to look for in a good helmet. Michio Arai, the current president and son of the family-owned company's founder comments "... if a design does not help make a helmet better at doing this job, protecting the rider and giving the rider better fit and comfort, we do not do it. Arai is in the helmet business, not the fad or fashion business." Here is our Arai Corsair V Review. Slipping on the new Arai Corsair V is a luxurious experience. It is quite light yet it feels very balanced when strapped on perhaps due tothe lower centre of gravity provided by the Hyper ridge band. Peripheral vision where every millimeter counts is excellent because of the Arai Corsair V helmet's wider eyeport. The helmet comfortably accommodates eyeglasses into temple-area slots in the lining. The Ventilation is impressive. The finish is exceptional with deep paintwork and a thick clear coat to minimise dings. DigInfo - movie.diginfo.tv Arai Helmets will launch the "RX-7 RR5" flagship model of full face helmets in May 2008. As the main material, Arai adopted a new material known as super fiber, which exhibits 40% more tensile strength and compression strength than ordinary glass fiber. The interior material, which is combined as a composite material, was also upgraded to a material that exhibits high level adhesiveness with the new super fiber to further increase strength. The form of the shield was updated to improve safety performance, and a custom "Super AdSis I Shield" was adopted that provides a wider peripheral field of view due to the 5mm expansion on both the right and left sides. A rib was installed at the top of the shield to minimize the step between the shield and the shell and reduce wind noise and air turbulence. The helmet is available in five different colors including white, glass white, glass black, alumina silver, and platina gray, and the price of the new helmet is set at 55650 yen.
