Yet amidst these valiant, desperate people, hope remains. A royal house endures unbroken from father to son. This 70 minute original drama is set in the time before the War of the Ring and tells the story of the Dúnedain, the Rangers of the North, before the return of the King. Inspired by only a couple of paragraphs written by Tolkien in the appendices of the Lord of the Rings we follow Arathorn and Gilraen, the parents of Aragorn, from their first meeting through a turbulent time in their people's history.

Some background infos: *One year after Arathorn became leader of the Dúnedain, Aragorn was born (the little boy) *the teenager in 1:18 is Halbarad. Aragorn son of Arathorn - Why he needed to be as strong as he was.
This is pretty much just a rant to counter the argument that Aragorn of the books was a "boring invincible hereo" to summarize, my main points: 1) didn't try to fight Balrog or Watcher in the Water 2) the most badass things he did were intended to be a distraction 3) he himself was in no way capable of ending the war.
