Arirang can be called not only a Korean folk song but also a second national anthem. "Arirang Fantasy" is a piece composed in a free style based on the melody of Arirang and its melody continually appears and has metaphorical expressions throughout the piece. 아리랑은 대한민국의 민속음악이면서 동시에 제2의 국가라 할 수 있다. '아리랑 환상곡'은 아리랑 선율의 토대 위에 자유로운 형식으로 작곡한 곡으로 곡 전체에 아리랑 선율이 끊임없이 나타나며 은유적으로 표현된다.
