PRESENTED BY TOM MILLETT BROUGHT TO YOU FROM THE MORGAN HOTEL IN TEMPLE BAR Aslan emerged from the working class areas of Finglas and Ballymun in Dublin's Northside, in the mid 1980s. They released a demo single, 'This Is', in the Spring of 1986, which was a huge hit and became the longest ever play-listed single on Ireland's pop radio station, RTÉ 2FM. In the summer of 1986 they played a series of rapturously received shows in the UK and Melody Maker noted, 'Lucky the label that signs this band!'. Janice Long at BBC Radio 1 recorded Aslan in session and went on to air it for an unprecedented three times in the subsequent weeks. At the end of 1986 Aslan walked away with The Stag/Hot Press,' Most Promising New Band' award and signed to EMI. In 1988 they recorded their debut album, 'Feel No Shame' which shot straight in to the No.1 spot of the Irish charts and remained there for weeks. Within a couple of months it was certified Gold. Then in August 1988, just as the option for their 2nd album had been picked up, Aslan infamously imploded, torn apart by overindulgence of all kinds. Five years and a day to the last time they gigged together (on the 11th of July 1993) they played what was supposed to be a one off charity gig in Finglas; the spark was reignited and Aslan landed a new record deal with BMG. The first fruit of the deal, their single "Crazy World", entered the charts at No 4 and stayed in the charts for 3 months, becoming one of the most played songs on Irish Radio <b>...</b>

Ahmet Aslan: The only time when I was truly myself was during my childhood. Then, when I was 5 years old, my parents registered me at the local office of administration. Probably at that moment I also lost my original self. The only thing I liked at school, when I was that age, was painting. I believed I could paint away what I had lost. Although the paintings neverÊreflected my true self I still became the best in my age group in Turkey. That happiness also didn't last song: I watched my father use the paintings for firewood so he could enjoy his cup of tea and smoke his cigarettes. (Painting was not considered a serious vocation). During my time at the Lyceum I learned to play the Tambur. Through the instrument I longed to express my true self. I went from Diyarbekir to the conservatorium of Istanbul, always improving my skill, but failing to find a personal connection/affinity. In Germany I even lost contact with the Tambur. Then I met the guitar and he helped me rekindle my relationship with the tambur (instrument of my ancestry). Now we are an union of Three. With the music we made I felt I had reached a point before the Dawn of Time. Is what I was tought the truth? Does history really start at zero? Is zero even in the right place? My Immortal-Aslan/Lucy (read discription first!)
hey!! there might be a possible remake of this! or a SEQUEL!! :D not sure yet. you guys can decide! :D One day, Aslan meets Lucy in the forest, she hurries to greet him when suddenly he notices a Telemarine coming with his crossbow aimed at Lucy. By instinct, Aslan roared for her to get out of the way. But by the time he did that the arrow was flying through the air and shot Lucy. He now blames himself for not being able to save Lucy, and the memories of her just depress him further. Edmund tries to help make him feel better but Aslan still has the idea that it was his fault. He then makes the ultimate descision. He knows that a group of White-Witch followers have revived her from her icy prison and now she is in hiding. He tracks her down and finds her. She asks him why he's come but he did not move or say anything. She decided to kill him (again!) Aslan knows if he sacrifices himself he be able to bring Lucy back, but he knows that for the bargain he CAN'T come back to life. He dies, Lucy comes back to life. And then she finds her brothers and sister, and some Narnians, she asks them why they are so upset and the move away so that she sees the body of Aslan. :(... I Own Nothing! :P
