Asus Transformer Review

Just some quick thoughts after a day with the Asus Transformer. I was unable to find the keyboard dock, but just wanted to give my initial, out of the box impressions having owned both the iPad 2 and the Xoom over the past few months.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Review

A video review of the most affordable Android Honeycomb 10" tablet, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. Check out our full review at: www.mobiletechreview.com The Transformer competes with the Motorola Xoom, Samung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Acer Iconia Tab A500. It has the usual dual core 1GHz Tegra 2 CPU, a gig of RAM, 16 or 32 gigs of internal storage, a 9.5 hour battery, dual cameras, WiFi and Bluetooth with GPS. This is a WiFi-on tablet with a sharp 1280 x 800 IPS display. Asus sells a dock-keyboard combo that also adds a secondary battery and USB port for $149, hence the Transformer name. iPad 2 Vs. Asus Transformer!

iPad 2 Vs. Asus Eee Pad Transformer! Asus Eee Transformer Review: www.technobuffalo.com iPad 2 Review: www.technobuffalo.com For the latest tech news and reviews, check us out at: www.technobuffalo.com TechnoBuffalo on Facebook: www.facebook.com TechnoBuffalo on Twitter www.twitter.com The Asus EEE Pad Transformer is the newest Android tablet on the market, and one I absolutely fell in love with when I reviewed it. As I wrote in my conclusion: The Transformer is the tablet Android fans deserve. I'm disappointed I have to send my review unit back to the folks at Asus. Before, whenever anyone asked me which tablet they should buy, my answer was always "The iPad 2." Now, I can confidently recommend another extremely capable alternative. If you are in the market for a tablet, you owe it to yourself to look at the Transformer. While I also gave a favorable iPad 2 review, one of them has to be superior to the other, right? So it only makes sense to put the Transformer up against the iPad 2, allowing these two tablets to fight it out head-to-head and see which come out as the true victor. We put them through six rounds: Screen Speed Browser Apps Operating System Intangibles You'll have to watch the video to find out the victor, but we'll give you this much of a hint, it doesn't end in a tie. Check out the video and let us know in the comments what you think of both the iPad 2 and the Asus EEE Pad Transformer.

Asus Transformer Prime Review - The New Tablet King?

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime Review - The Android Tablet You Deserve While the iPad will always receive its fair share of media coverage, no tablet has been anticipated more in 2011 than the Transformer Prime. On paper, the device's specs are a tech-lover's dream: Nvidia's new Tegra 3 quad-core processor, an incredible 10.1″ Super IPS+ display, estimated 12 hours of battery (18 hours with dock), 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording and a build quality that would make Apple engineers red with envy. Take a look at out our iPad 2/Transformer Prime comparison gallery to see what we mean. Mind you, this isn't the first time we've tangled with a Transformer (no, not the robots). Earlier this year we reviewed the original device and concluded it was one of the best tablets on the market -- and still is. Asus PR hyped up its newest member of the Transformer family pretty high once it was finally announced early last month. Not only that, but there have been plenty of tantalizing rumors, leaks and photos of the Prime, making the wait all that more agonizing. Needless to say, when we received the Eee Pad Transformer Prime last week, we had some high expectations for the Tegra 3-equipped device. Asus Eee Pad Transformer (Asus Transformer) Review - 2011

asus.freeandroidtablet.org Get a Free [Asus tablet] visit our site now! Android tablets are being released regularly now and so to stand out they need a unique feature. The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer impresses as it differs from other Android tablets by offering a keyboard dock that gives you an option to turn your tablet into a netbook PC. It has a very competitive price given it's feature range too. The multi-touch screen provides a sharp image, a good picture even from extreme viewing angles and bright colours. You also get a strong processor, front-facing and rear-facing cameras, a great web browsing experience, eBook functionality and an impressive battery life. It's let down slightly by Android 3.0 which isn't quite as finished as the iPad operating system. It also lacks the USB ports that other tablets have (unless you buy the keyboard dock). ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Full spec details: Storage Memory - 16 GB - this is on the low side for a consumer tablet pc that generally have up to 64GB of storage but you have the facility to expand this memory using a microSD card. Screen Type - capacitive multi-touch - the screen is responsive, doesn't lose contrast when viewed from the side or top and has a good screen resolution so the images are sharp. Screen Size - 10.1 inch - 10-inch tablets give you more screen space than 7-inch tablets but the trade-off is that they're less mobile than a 7-inch tablet that are light and fit in a jacket pocket. Operating System - Android ...

Asus Transformer Review (Initial Impressions)

Watch the unboxing - youtu.be Find me here - gplus.to twitter.com facebook.com unboxtherapy.com This is a quick review of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. Here are some more details on the device - The Transformer sets itself apart from other tablets on the market by featuring an optional docking station. This provides access to a full QWERTY keyboard along with unique Android Function keys, turning the tablet Transformer into a full-fledged notebook. A touchpad, 3.5mm audio jack, two USB ports as well as a built-in SD Card reader for easy file sharing and storage expandability makes the Transformer a versatile media hub. The docking station also extends the Transformer's 9.5 hours of battery life up to 16 hours, so users can use it all day for work and play. Powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, the Transformer browses the web at blazing speeds, providing a snappier response time and better performance when multi-tasking. Sporting a HDMI 1.3a port, the Transformer can connect to a HDTV and 5.1 surround sound system, delivering an enhanced multimedia experience. An IPS Panel made from durable and scratch-resistant glass is viewable at angles up to 178°, and produces a crisper and more accurate color range by up to 50% when compared to other tablets in the market. A 5MP rear- and 1.2MP front-facing camera can shoot and record HD video, which can be played back in stunning 1080p. Output to HD video on HDTVs is also available via a mini HDMI output port, making it ...

ASUS Transformer Prime Review - TF201 with Docking Station

ASUS Transformer Prime Review - www.netbooknews.com The Transformer Prime has a 10.1″ Super IPS+ 1280 x 800, 10 finger multitouch display with Corning's Gorilla Glass. Under the hood we've got Nvidia's new Tegra 3 quad core processor with 1GB or RAM and the option for a 32 or 64GB SSD along side some cloud based storage from ASUS Webstorage. The camera is significantly improved with an 8MP rear facing camera and a 1.2MP on the front with increased shutted speeds. The rear camera has a flash and features a large F2.4 aperture when most others have a smaller F2.8 which will improve field of depth. There are a bevy of connections available including a 2-in-1 audio jack, micro HDMI, Micro SD card reader, internal microphone and the dock offers an additional 1 USB 2.0 & a full size card reader. There are also a series of sensors including a G-Sensor, Gyroscope, E-compass, GPS & Light Sensor which presumably will be used to automatically gauge screen brightness. It also comes in two colours. We haven't been able to get our hands on the Champagne Gold, but we are told that its the more elegant of the two...which is hard to believe since the Grey was pretty stunning.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Review

At first glance, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer appears to be your average 10.1-inch Honeycomb tablet. Taking a hint from the name, there is an optional keyboard dock that transforms it into a netbook. The Transformer is competitively priced at $399 for 16GB Wifi version and $149 for the keyboard dock. The combo makes for a nice pair. Think of it this way, peanut butter is ok by itself, but it tastes much better with jelly. Watch in HD

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime Review

Is there any tablet that's hotter than the Transformer Prime right now? (Please, don't say the Kindle Fire.) For weeks we geeks, early adopters and people who love their tech toys have been awaiting this, and none too patiently. Make no mistake: this will be one of the slickest products we test this year and it isn't just because the original Transformer had such an inventive design. The Prime is the first device packing NVIDIA's hot-off-the-presses Tegra 3 SoC, making it the world's first quad-core tablet. This comes with promises of longer-than-ever runtime and blazing performance (five times faster than Tegra 2, to be exact), all wrapped in a package measuring just 8.3mm (0.33 inches) thick -- even skinnier than the iPad 2 or Galaxy Tab 10.1. Throw in specs like a Super IPS+ Gorilla Glass display, eight megapixel rear camera and a confirmed ICS update in the pipe and even we seen-it-all Engadget editors were drooling. All of which means we dropped just everything when a 32GB Prime showed up on our doorstep earlier this week, and soon enough, you'll have your chance to nab one too. ASUS announced today that the WiFi-only models will be available through online sellers the week of December 19th, and in retail the week after. (No word yet on 3G versions for the US just yet.) It'll start at $499 for the 32GB model -- not bad considering five hundred bucks is the going rate for a high-end tablet with 16GB of storage. From there you can get a 64GB number for $599, while that ...

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime review Hands on

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 has had a long run as the top-tier Android tablet in the 10-inch size, but that position has now properly been usurped. The original Transformer was a very good tablet and it successor steps up another notch. The Transformer Prime is thinner and lighter than the rest and, with 32GB of storage available for a dollar under $500, it's a better deal than most of the top-tier contenders. The dock, however, is a bit of a tougher sell. If you need crazy battery life on the road then it's definitely a good choice, even if you won't be relying on that cramped keyboard too often. In fact, the less you have to use that part the better, but it's still a perfectly usable way to enter URLs and it sure beats the pants off of any virtual, touchscreen text input method. For the moment the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime is the best Android tablet on the market. All hail the new king.
