Quantum Entanglement --- Atomic Structure It was during the early decades of the 19th century that the structure of atoms was coming into focus. It was known for example that a hydrogen atom contained one proton and one electron. But the scientists of the time could think of no stable arrangement of the two particles. It was known that protons in any atom were grouped in a small central region called the nucleus and that the electrons were somehow arranged at comparatively large distances outside the nucleus. But, in hydrogen, if the electron were stationary, it would fall into the nucleus since the charges on the particles would cause them to attract one another. Yet the electron couldnt be in an orbit circling the nucleus either. Circular motion requires constant acceleration of the circling body to keep it from flying away. But the electron has charge and charged particles radiate light when they are accelerating. So an electron in a circular orbit would radiate light and would spiral into the nucleus. Professor Harman explains isotopes and atomic mass in this lesson covering atomic structure. Most elements exist in nature as more than one isotope. Isotopes are atoms that have the same number of protons as the element but a different number of neutrons. The number of protons always remains the same, as this number (also known as the atomic number) is what determines the element. Prof. Harman also introduces atomic mass units, or amu's, which are a more convenient unit for describing the very small masses of atoms. Next, Professor Harman explains more about the masses of elements. The amu is derived from carbon 12 and is equal to 1.6605 x 10^-27. The relative atomic mass listed on the periodic table of the elements is a weighted average of the masses of the isotopes of an element. You might also observe that the mass of an isotope is less than the sum of masses of its nucleons and electrons. Professor Harman explains the relationship between mass and energy that Einstein ...

The Atomic Structure of the Atom - Animated Presentation

Subatomic Particles The basic conception of a subject now known as subatomic particle physics dates back to 500 BC when the Greek philosopher Leucippus and his pupil Democritus suggested that matter consists of small, indivisible particles, which they called atoms. For more than 2000 years after this, the notion of atoms lay in obscurity. For quite a long time, people believed that all matter consisted of four elements: earth, fire, air, and water. We now know that atoms do exist, and that some particles smaller than atoms also exist. These subatomic particles are divided into two main groups, the leptons and the hadrons. The best known lepton ("light" particle) is the electron. In order to account for the emission of electrons from the nucleus, the neutrino, an essentially massless neutral particle was postulated. The muon and the tau, both much more massive than the electron, comprise the rest of the lepton family. The hadrons are divided into two groups, the mesons and the baryons. Protons and neutrons are baryons. Mesons and baryons are made of smaller particles called quarks. There are six different quarks: up, down, charmed, strange, top, and bottom. While these are cool names, they convey nothing about the distinct properties of the quark. Each quark comes in three different colors: red blue and green. Again, the color label has nothing to do with the quark's appearance. Baryons are composed of three quarks, mesons are composed of a quark and an antiquark. Now that ...

Atomic structure And Chemical Bonding

Check us out at www.tutorvista.com Atomic Structure To review, an atom consists of a small, dense nucleus containing all of its protons and neutrons, surrounded by electrons that fill the remaining volume of the atom. The atom stays electrically neutral because the number of protons and electrons are usually equal. In this section, the structure of atoms and the chemical properties will be studied, and the number of electrons and the way they are distributed generally determine them. Chemical Bonding: Introduction Atoms of almost every element has the ability to combine with other atoms to form more complex structures. The forces of attraction that bind them together are chemical bonds. To understand chemistry, the nature and origin of chemical bonds is important, since the basis of chemical reactions is the forming and the breaking of bonds and the changes in bonding forces. There are two main classes of bonding forces: covalent bonds and ionic bonds. Covalent bonding deals with the sharing of electrons between atoms. Ionic bonding deals with the transfer of electrons between atoms.

Atomic structure And Chemical Bonding

Basic Atomic Structure

The nucleus of an atom is made of Protons and Neutrons. The protons have a positive charge and Neutrons have a neutral charge. Spinning around the nucleus are negatively charged Electrons. An atom is identified by a number corresponding to the number of protons in the nucleus and a name. As an example, an atom with one proton and one electron is identified by the number one and the name Hydrogen and written as 1H. An atom with two protons and two electrons is identified by the number two and the name Helium and is written as 2He. The Carbon atom is composed of six protons, six electrons and six neutrons and is written as 12C.

Sacred Geometry explains Atomic Structures and the Periodicity of the Elements

www.youtube.com Originally posted in the link above: Note this material interfaces with the findings of Atomic Theorist Dr. Robert Moon. See also:www.youtube.com These ideas confirm the work of Moon which shows that the nuclear theory of the atom has always been false and was constructed upon many absurd ideas which were never tenable. The major problem with Moon's theory is holding on to the theory of orbiting electrons, which sa centrally fallacy in the debunked nuclear atom model. There are no orbiting electrons in atoms. Electrons are discharging electric vortices and emission products not electrical ball bearings orbiting a nucleus filled with protons and neutrons. See : DB Larson's: "The Case Against the Nuclear Atom" This is a complete demolition of the historical quackery which produced the fake Rutherford-Bohr nuclear theory of the atom which has enslaved mankind to a false "psyence". library.rstheory.org Now we have a model of geometric atomic construction which we can easily see fractalized at the level of our sensory perceptions in the forms of crystals based on sacred Geometry and the Platonic Solids. See "Geometric Basis for the Periodicity of the Elements," www.21stcenturysciencetech.com Ultimately these ideas about geometric construction of atoms, support the Cosmology Walter Russell authored in 1926 which was the Electric Universe Model explained with Sacred Geometry.
